Pretty predicable that a pre-war Mercedes-Benz won although it was a fabulous car and typical of Pebble Beach judging. Ferrari fans will be glad to see the Ferrari 315S in the top 3.
Alain de Cadenet is a natural and always does a great job. They should make him the focus of the programme. I like Jonny Lieberman, but Alain is in his element here.
I know many restoration folks (Ferrari class and others) on the lawn and all were in consensus pre-8am that this was the automobile to beat today. Although John's 315S and Chip's Packard are great automobiles, Bruce's Merc was definitely unique and has a great story to go with it along with a racing pedigree as well.
