I typed in Vig on the webster link posted.....it came up as Vigorish....which is some charge that a bookie or bet maker has to pay....some fee on top of the bet.....I don't know why it wouldn't come up for you, but the link worked fine.............sorry, I also was curious what Vig meant, after I read this post. FWIW, Peter is good for his word and his dough. He sent me $50 for Girl Scout cookies....and didn't even take the cookies, just to help my daughter out!!

Matterhorn should not have posted publicly, that was just dumb. "Peters, check you PM box please." would have been a better idea. You won, no need whatsoever to rub it in or publicly embarrass Peters like that. How would you feel? Would you ever do that to your men? I would never embarrass one of mine in a million years.

Peters either needs to check his PM or have it forward to his email or shut the PM box down. But also, he knew he lost, did he not expect this? Why not be honorable and pay up? Did you not make the bet in good faith? If not who else do you ever expect to bet with you? Sending pennies too makes you look like a ass and a sore looser as well. You lost, cut a check and be done with it.

Darth, as a mod you should have locked the thread when it started to get ugly but, most of all, not taken sides in the fight. Right or wrong, taking sides makes you look unfair. Mod's are trusted to moderated these types of disputes, not help cause them.

It was the content of the last posts you made, that made you look like a soor looser, and might lead somebody to think you wouldn't pay up.
