I had a 348TS several years back, and have a Countach now. Loved the 348, much better than my 355, and I would own another.

As for the Countach conversation a little bit back, of course the 348 is easier to live with, but it doesnt hold a candle to the event that takes place every time the Countach comes out. Its a blast to drive out on the open roads, very reliable, and I can stare at it forever.

I went through 41 pages of 348 pics and not one white one?

 

Beautiful! It's just like a time capsule. Really hoping to see that car one day, as well as the new toy.

Interesting. Thanks for weighing in, Chris. I've been fortunate enough to have enjoyed many of the world's great sports cars over the years but I've never even ridden in a Countach. Even so, from everything I've read I think the car would probably be very, very much to my liking. The 348 is on the tame side of the rawness I love in an exotic car so the over-the-top nature of the Countach holds a great deal of appeal. The downside being the amount of attention it gets, which I hadn't really considered until Sherpa mentioned it. Where I live even a TR doesn't elicit nearly as much attention as a Raptor, but I suspect a Countach wouldn't exactly go unnoticed.

Still, I think owing one might be worth the unwanted profile increase. There are very few cars above it on my short list. You're living the dream-- enjoy!

BTW, there is an interesting link to a Car Magazine test of the Countach, the BB, and a 930 posted on the Boxer/TR section recently. That leads to yet another comparo of later supercars, and both articles are well worth your time if you haven't seen them. Not to give anything away, but the Lamborghini fares very well in both comparisons.

Yes. I love the Countach. All of this talk of daily usability is nonsense. A weekly thrill is what i want, and the Countach excels at that like no other.
