Well, not much of a fight....pothole swung once, KO'd Michelin Man!

Nasty pothole at the ramp to I10E from 610S.....hit so hard that I thought I bottomed out the car. Didn't see it, driving at night in wet conditions.

Pulled over to check the car, didn't see any damage to underbelly, wheel, or tire.

Next morning, went to wash the bugs off...saw the tire

Glad my angels were with me on that 2 hr drive home!

Be sure to also check the wheel for any distortion it may have incurred. Glad it was not a nasty accident for you. Thank your guardian angel!

Decided to put he starfish back on until I can get the wheels checked out so with nothing to do on this Saturday afternoon, I decided to go pull the wheels, etc. and I told my wife that I need to go work out or something....getting weak in my old age. Smart ass said it's the heat dear. Told her that shouldn't be an issue...I'm just like Tim the Tool Man Taylor. Then after she left, I went and checked the temp....yea, time to quit.

    Couple questions:

    1. Are they run flats?
    2. Did you lose any air pressure?

I don't think I ever took a picture but I had that happen to my Michelin run flats I had on my BMW. I had no idea, but my neighbor in the apartment next to me noticed it and left me a note.

The side wall ballooned out just like yours but further, so much so you could stick a finger in it. And the strange thing was it hadn't lost any air. The guys at discount couldn't believe it.

No to both....standard MPSS. Still holding 30 psi until I pulled them off the car.
