Greetings guys: Some might recall on 11/2/2014, I took delivery of my second 355 - 1995 Berlinetta (early, dual fuel pump car) The car was bought as a project and I started this thread: http://www.ferrarichat.com/forum/348-355-sponsored-bradan/466811-project-restoration-1995-f355-berlinetta.html The thread was derailed due to my DIY interior refinishing which lead to my stating the business offering that service which today is Sticky RX. Rob and I worked out our issues and I've been back as a sponsor for several months now. Last August I picked up another 95 GTB and put this project on hold as the other car was not as needy and I thought I could sort it in a few months. Well, it took much longer than expected so this project has sat untouched for nearly a year. With the new business venture (on top of my other business) I am very busy so this restoration won't move at the pace it did when I started but I'm about to get back to it. So, I start "Part 2" to update what's been done while I was away from Fchat along with the work ahead. I never set out to paint this car, however, knowing I need to address a few panels along with the single stage being so thin on these cars, I've decided a bare metal respray is in order. That said, over the next few weeks the car will be getting dismantled to a base body. Brake MC, dash wiring harness will all stay but all parts including fuel tank are coming out of engine bay so that area can be repainted. I've not decided who will handle the paint yet but I am in discussions with a very respected forum member about it So, the following posts will be to bring folks up to speed on what was done over the last couple years. Enjoy
View in empty engine bay (everything you see here will be coming out over the next few weeks) Image Unavailable, Please Login
Compression test done before removing engine (I don't have data handy). Leak down done with motor out. Results support compression results. Not bad guides, carbon build up. Also verified timing - it was slightly off Image Unavailable, Please Login
Long overdue, my friend excited to get back at it. First step is to order a bunch of shelves and clean up my basement. I need a place for all the parts as they will be in my kitchen soon Good thing my basement can be accessed from the garage
