Here is the latest Quattroruote Alfa in 1/24th scale, the Alfa GTA 1600 Corsa. It is out on September 10th. You see them listed on ebay Italy for around 30Euro+shipping. Make sure they include the car book. For the list, they have updated the release dates for the SZ 1989 to 11/27/2010. I think they will do 40 Alfa models now instead of 30. As I said before, the quality on these Alfa models is close to Danbury Mint. I hope they keep the quality as high during the whole series.

    Happy hunting.

    Hi Tom,

Thank you for the great updates on this collection.

I've got the chance to get a copy the Montreal last week end during a trip to Italy and it is a really beautiful and well made model.

The only downside of the package content was a small note from the editors announcing that the next release will not be the SZ but the Alfasud 1.5 ti Quadrifoglio Verde, and it will be out in 3 weeks time instead of 2. I sure hope the SZ is however still in the cards.

I am sure the Quattroruote 1/24th Zagato SZ will be out soon, slightly delayed due to a production problem. Here are 2 new 1/24th Alfa's from Motorama, the 159 and Giulietta.

    Release updates:

Now Number 11 Alfa Giulietta Sprint Speciale 1960 release 24/12/2010
Now Number 12 Alfa Giulia 1600 Super 1965 release 8/1/2011

    The AlfaSud is out tomorrow.

The T33 Stradale and Sprint Speciale should be very well received!!!
I would guess the T33 will be the prototype, although they do mostly first
series production versions. We will see in a few weeks. I hope the Sprint Speciale is a low nose!

The only place in the USA for the 1/24th Alfa models right now is on ebay or other auction sites. Many Italian dealers have them on Ebay. These models are only sold by Quattroruote in Italy direct. At a later date they might be offered by Leo Models(the maker) to retailers. Here is a link to a retailer that has the first set on sale. In the USA the diecast retailers don't carry 1/24th very much. Maybe that will start to change since so many new 1/24th diecasts are coming out from several manufactures.

The Quattroruote 1/24th T33/2 Stradale is a production version. Here is a small picture. More photos to follow, but looks very good. The tires are tall enough, unlike the Hiro 1/24th scale kits low profile tires. Hiro also did the 1967 Stradale prototype.

The Sprint Speciale is a 1957 now according to the Quattroruote update. That would make it a low nose :)

Anyone who likes 1/24th scale models would be insane not to pick up a few of these diecasts. You can always repaint and detail them if your a kit builder. The quality is very good and the bodies are almost perfectly shaped. Lets just say they are more accurate than a Fujimi kit.
