"Allegedly" these 3 cars came to Australia from 9 RHD PF coupes built

    1677GT - silver/red
    1725GT - red/red with grey piping
    1973GT - ivory/ivory

Not sure any of them raced though I do recall seeing photos of a 250GTE racing at Longford.

    Does she know the S/N?

Her cousin still "has", or had?

Plenty of s3 cars, but ........................ all are low milage.
They have a S3 flying spur they claim is the only one to have roof air/cond.
My blue car had vents in the front and rear roof line.i've never seen it in any other S3 conti.

Bob Miller had a red/red 250Pf in the early '70s, but it had been repainted many times, so may not have been connected with those cars. - first Ferrari I ever drove. He also had a red/black (from memory) 275GTB - I certainly remember being driven in it at least 80 mph on Military rd Mosman on a Saturday morning....

I don't recall the 250 being especially fast, certainly not as quick as a XK150 or E type and it had (albeit huge) drum brakes, don't think it would make much of a racer, except for fun, maybe.

while the thread seems to be about ferraris for a change I thought I would ask this question, why was this Ferrari built ?

weird design and looks to be for a very specific purpose ???

I saw it about 10 years back, it was pretty scruffy, but not beyond redemtion by any means. Unless it's been sitting outside since then, it would be an economic proposition...............provided you managed to get the car for free.

Pretty sure there is a pic of it in the David Mackay book in the first couple of pages. I don't have it handy, can anyone confirm? Tony Oxley who bought the car new also had a 275 GTB/4. That car was re-painted re-sale red by Raftis some 10 years back and now resides in Victoria with M.A.
