    no he bought it years latter.
    I'm so lucky to have owned a bentley conti he did the motor on with his own deseigned pistons,claimed it was capable of 140 mph.forget about gearing and the fact RR V8s get valve bounce at about 4,800 revs.
    keep your clients away from him.

    i had a stand up blew with him at the RROC federal rally in 2008,when i was 10 stone and getting over my cancer treatment,in front of about 200 people whom had sat down to a dinner.
    Bad mouthed my brother inlaw and sister,i suggest it would be unwise for him to go down that track,weak prick backed down.

    A few more Ferrari 250s in the where-are-they-now-file from the classified of old Racing Car News magazines.

    August 1969
    Ferrari 250 PF Coupe "Ferrari 250GT Farina V12 Coupe. First class throughout in original condition. $4,500. Bargain. Phone Sydney 31-9103 (evenings)."

    In the pic it is wearing NSW rego number EBB-771.


    December 1967
    Ferrari 250 GTE. " Ferrari 250 GT 2 plus 2 coupe 1. 962-63. irridescent blue red upholstery. 3 litre V12, 240bhp @ 8000rpm. Top speed 150mph, triple dual choke Webers, Borrani alloy wire wheels, German Dunlop racing tyres, radio, POA. Contact 560-8845 (day) or Mr Solano 89-5775 (night) Sydney.

    From the pics, Mr Solano would appear to have been a combined Fiat/Alfa Romeo dealer.

    He used to tell me how he broke all these lap records with his Daytona, I was weary of the stories and decided to investigate, yes the car was fast and yes driven by his brother. I ran his panel shop for 8 years, you could actually start a whole new website with these stories. In saying that he taught me a hell of a lot about RR and Bently cars, if I wanted to know anything about a certain car he always took the time to answer my questions.

    i was keen to buy a mid metallic blue with magnolia S3 of him,had factory A/c,but no sundym glass (which was standard with factory A/C)
    I asked him where the tint was,he just walked of.

    Did a bit for Bruce, funny that, there is still a mint S3 conti sitting at Roberts that belonged to him.
    Did an old convertable Buick up for him and various bits and pieces on his RR's. When I opened this place up he was going to look around for a good RR for me to do up for him, he was a real gentleman (funny bastard too!)
