I know that Palmer doesn't look up to it, but frankly replacing him with Kubica seems silly. Renault should look for a new talent, and not employ a driver who has been 6 years out of F1. Beside, Kubica is to old to restart a F1 career, and also attract sponsors, IMO.
Thats to make Palmer feel better. He can be replaced without question if he fails to score points soon. Kubica's condition is well known there is no major mystery to it. There are questions about his ability to drive. The answer to that seems that he is capable but he has not driven the current car. Its not been programmed completely for him until possibly now. The evaluations are for the medium and longer term as the team has stated. I wish Palmer the best and I think the team are giving him a fair go of things minus the bad luck.
A lot of them have already gone home ..better life in Poland! are there any true Brits left in London nowadays?
That is also controversial... But maybe you could expend and tell us how the Poles are "incompetent" ?
No, I don't get it at all. This stereotyping of people according to their nationality is rather alarming, I would say. It's also so uncool ...
It was a joke, clearly not everyone got it, and now it's time to move on. Back to F1... All the best, Andrew.
Before his accident he was my favorite driver. I really thought he would be World Champ and I was hoping he would drive for Ferrari doing it. There were rumors he was going to join them.
Interesting piece in this months Motorsport magazine stating that his lap times in Red Bulls simulator recently were faster than anyone has ever done.
Age is probably the biggest factor keeping Kubota out at this point. He is no spring chicken by F1 standards, so how long could a return realistically last?
Kubica (Is it Kubica or "Kubeetza") during the Hungarian Testing today. Yeah, that right arm looks thin. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Wow I hadn't seen any pictures until these posts. That terrible injury was ghastly. He such a cool and talented guy. I really feel for him.
