First teaser image released. Rolls Royce makes a "driver's car".

Looks like its sights are set squarely on the Continental GT.

I saw the car on Monday in London at a private view, its beautiful! Honestly one of the coolest super/lux Gts I have ever seen.

    Beautiful lines, and agile!

Cant wait to get behind the wheel!

Can't see the pics for any reason. Just saw some camo photos, the car looks way bigger than the CGT.

Yes v12 over 6 ltrs...approx 600hp 700nm 0-60 in the low 4 seconds.....by no means a track car or a sports car....but agile and very nimble for its weight 2000kgs....and has the muscle to push on the road. Also has GPS guided transmision that will know the corners ahead so if you are pushing...it will hold gears and change down if ur on a spirited drive.

    Oooh. :)

I really haven't associated Rolls-Royce with cars designed for drivers, so it'll be interesting to see how well this does in reviews.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

First thing they make clear that its a true Rolls! not an attempt to get sporty, but a car more focused on the driver. Yes a lot of marketing talk...but so is every car launch.

End of the day....it looks great, quality, comfort, power, exclusive, and presence.

Until its driven, no one will know for sure...but I will predict it will be like a more agile ghost.

Just curious... is anyone else getting a whiff of Shelby Mustang GT-500 from the C-pillar and sloping back, or is it just me? Instead of the scoop, Rolls-Royce has put a window there.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

I think the wheels are supposed to match the grill, window liner, door handles, etc...

However, if I was a buyer, I wouldn't get those wheels either. I like traditional alloy "silver" colours that aren't highly polished. It's just too bright otherwise.

    All the best,
    Andrew.

Looks a bit heavy handed to me. Like the Phantom and Phantom Coupe though.

this drawing the roof line, especially back of the B pillar, is almost directly copied from the Cadillac Sixteen concept ....not a bad thing, but not original

IMO is looks great, it's exactly what it's supposed to be, a RR coupe fastback!
I do think the lower body is lacking, it has more visual heft than it should ....it is sorely missing the RR lower bodyline (seen on the 'vert)

As I age, a car like this makes more and more sense. One can only go so fast on the road, and the rest of the time you might as well be comfortable, this car is probably fast enough for any street situation, and undoubtably a pleasant place to spend time in.

Problem is the car is so conspicuous to everyone looking at it, where can you really drive it. At least with an Fcar people may appreciate the machine, here you will just engender envy.

Very cool car though. I am sure in HK Shanghai, Genva London, parts of FL and cali its useable.

That seems to be a common theme with a variety of manufacturers. It's frustrating and weird. Huge car on the outside and cramped inside.

It's supply and demand. It's been a very popular additional extra to the Phantom Coupe.

There's simply a need, so its produced.
