I can't see what purpose the grab handle does, it's not as if every other sports car has to have it fitted to make it US legal.

Just to be clear. I agree 100% there is no major difference in the cars, be at from Canada or USA. They are all pretty much a homogolated vehicle. I was just pointing out for clarity that it is NOT one of the 25 US SPECIFIC vin cars.

I have as well brought down Canadian cars, there is no issue with that. The Canadian cars of modern due have a stronger 8mph bumper on them, DL as well as a different child infant seat attachment as well as the obvious for the Speedo and odo.

I see no issue with bringing a Canada car to the USA. I am not sure I agree with the "maintenance" issue. Yes, it gets serviced etc etc..but it is still a machine that needs to be exercised. There are way to many seals that if not exercised dry up and root away.

As for the tires, again, yes there are solutions, HOWEVER there is NO EXACT OEM replacement for as it left the factory, no question abut that period.

I will also add, that most know me as a driver...I just could not let a car sit myself..it was built to be driven and enjoyed...and thats what I do with mine. I never have and still dont see the extra value in a "low mile" car versus the pleasure you get in driving it.

    Like the old saying,

"You sure do not touch your beautiful wife or girl friend....just to leave it for the next guy"

Sort of a guess but I believe it was tied to the passive restraint system - don't know how but it may have satisfied the "padded knee panel" requirement.

Your knee is so far from the dashboard on the passenger side, you wouldn't of hit it anyway.

So in summary those who think they know best have given the passenger something to smack into!

Yet another of the many USA DOT appendages forced upon the the Lamborghinis we love, none of which we need or want.

In my mind, getting "serviced" means checking and replacing dried-out age-sensitive seals whether the car is being driven many or few miles.

That's it, and then they made a grab-handle out of it.

You know these government agencies, always looking out for us!

From what I know, three shades of black were used for the SE, of which two are metallic:

    Deep Black (231524)
    Deep Metal Black (210500)
    Nero Metallizzato (224521)

Of the US cars, 012 and 026 are in Deep Black, 043 is not black but purple. I believe five cars were delivered to Canada and have Canadian specifications; of which two are titanium, one red, one metal black and one purple.

    Thanks for this.

So a Canada-spec car is 1 of 5, that's really cool, @ 5 times as rare as a USA-spec car to be precise.

With 089 being the only Nero Metallizzato (224521) car delivered to the Americas (non-Eu/ROW) and with practically delivery miles, its quite a special & unrepeatable car.

The Nero Metallizzato (224.521) Diablo SE30 with just 120 miles, is now available via Private Treaty.

Priced very fairly, the car comes with all books, tools & ancillaries.

This is literally an unrepeatable opportunity.

I would post up a photo of mine as it sits right now, but it's my barn covered in dust and actually looks like a genuine barn find. Auction houses would be queuing up to sell it as it is!

Alex can you us the location on your engine bonnet where the VIN is punched in?
I found one place with a stamp, but not sure it´s the right number cause it has just 2 digits.

Certainly, i had a better photo showing the position in my pc. If you have 2 numbers then it seems to be one of the first 99 cars. The number is located on the top left hand edge of the engine cover

    Grazie Alex.

Yes i have 2 numbers, so my bonnet came from an early car until #099!

    On location 1, i found a stamp 01 and on location 2, 048.

All chassisnumber stamps on the Diablo body parts has 3 digits, so i my bonnet came from 048. This makes sense because 048 was a german car which was converted by Kremer Düsseldorf dealership to a Jota. Later on this car was hardly crashed, the passenger unfortunately died.

Yes definitely 48/150. Here in Itsly there is an identical purple bonnet 106/150. The owner intalled the original Jota cover (but unfortunately no Jota kit):)

No, that was Jay Kay's first SE30 which got written off by a delivery driver. Then he purchased this one which was crashed during the filming for the video but not badly.

    That's $726,000 today.

Amari asks a lot for their classic Lamborghinis, but apparently they go through them meticulously pre-sale and usually get close to their ask.

When is the low mile RED 94SE coming to market Joe??

You scored good on that one. My guy just would not come up the extra $25K to buy it.

Mine is nearly road ready after a extended period of not being used.

I have a second home in the Cotswolds area of the UK which is about 140miles from the other and I plan to drive it there soon rather than taking the normal comfortable Range Rover.

Any info on Jota / SV-R / other racing cams?

Btw, 2.53:1 rear end was offered on SE30 before it became standard on late SV.

#142, Amari had this car for sale several times; last time I know was in 2013 when they offered it at 150K GBP with about 27.200kms, I believe it sold back then. Now four years later they want an additional 400K for it, that is within Jota price range. I don't think it will sell for that to be honest. Also not sure if anyone is willing to pay a premium for Jay Kay's previous ownership, or the fact that it is RHD (btw there are over 16 RHD SE). As you can see, this car is also not in complete original condition.

Jay Kay talked about the car in the last Top Gear episode (start at 15:00)

Here it is during the recordings of Cosmic Girl

That seems awfully close to the amount I've seen a couple Diablo GTs listed for. Does the inclusion in a music video really validate asking so much? I hear more about Jay Kay than I do of the music video.
