I have the arrow on my strut, original Euro car from 1979. I replaced it few years ago with a gaz strut from Ferrari spare part replacement. I kept my original one on the side , it has to be rebuilt because it is hard to close. In my opinion, during its life, someone should have tried to close the hood without pushing the knob so the metal part is certainely not straight anymore. Anyway, As soon as I can, I will make a close picture of my arrow to show how it is, I mean fitting or offset way. If anybody knows a good place where to make it rebuilt...
So, any confirmed QVs? Sure looks like a great idea though... What is the deal with the fitting and offset? Looks like they were offset? Which one to get for an '85 Euro? I just checked and there is no arrow on my car and no evidence there ever was one... That doesn't mean a thing though Markus, please put me down for one - aligned (the offset would drive me crazy). I have never seen one with an arrow in my life. But I have seen many with a little reverse dimple on the surface above it, though.
