Suggest someone to repair my favorite Hamilton?

    I've had this Khaki watch for a long time, but it needs a new crystal. I don't trust anyone local to me so I'm looking for firsthand recommendations, preferably within the US.

    Why not try the closest Hamilton authorized service center? It's not that difficult a repair.

    Using the pull-down menu on the Hamilton Service website results in only three selections, and my guess is they'll send it out to a third party.

    And their crazy "flipbook" doesn't go past page two (out of 42) on any of my four browsers.

    Swatch Group U.S.

    So, I'm not very confident about them.

    Swatch group has a watchmaker training facility in Miami. I assume the SGUS Facility in Miami is the best place to go.

    I believe those are the Swatch Group US service centers. AFAIK there are 3 in the US and the others are international.
    I would be more confident in any of the 3 to perform a crystal replacement, rather than an unknown independent that comes recommended. Different people have different expectations and I have seen a lot of watches from "Swiss trained master watchmakers, that are the best..." to take recommendations with a grain of salt.

    Thanks for the prompt... I called and went through their menu which led me to their Longines/Hamilton Service Rep. They do everything in-house which is great to know. Basically I just send my watch to them and, after an analysis, they provide an estimate.

    Here's what comes under the Swatch Group.

    That is something different. Many high end brands have special service centers for vintage watches as they require different sensibilities. Swatch Group may do a fine job with vintage watches, but I would have a talk with them first and gauge their restoration or vintage service experience.

    I use Nesbit's in Seattle, 206 - 623 - 1211.. Family owned and operated, with fantastic customer service and great turn around times. Have used them on Omega, Rolex, TAG.
