The F 512 M has really grown on me. Hated the looks at first. I've since seen four of the 75 in person. Bella!
That was my thought, too, so I went ahead and bought it for $125,000. Image Unavailable, Please Login

https://collectingcars.com/for-sale/1994-ferrari-512-tr-speciale Gotta love this answer: The Test was done mid auction last time so the wording was not updated in time . A motor must have pretty high mileage and be wore out not to pass a simple emissions test especially a gasoline combustion engine . To make a long story short it will pass ! byAbc119 minutes ago Hello if the car was smogged in CA back in August, why the previous No sale auction in California stated “Must be sold to an out state resident or licensed dealer”? That implied the car was not CA emissions compliant. byFeralc16 minutes ago
Lots of mental gymnastics that's for sure. Nice color, but as I recall the last time it went up, somewhat rough cosmetically and a higher than M asking price.
Right And then when I asked him about the pre cats and the no record at the Bar he said he was going to check it out. Of course the car cannot be registered in CA. Only way to do so is import it and register into another state and then “move” to CA. A direct import to the state would be a bureaucratic (4-6 months) and expensive ($$$) nightmare. I was pretty interested but being a 1 out of 15 cars for a very specific market doesn’t justify the price, it was a RNM at Mecum last year and it hit $350k, for that much money I prefer a less “rare” 512M Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
Nice color but otherwise a 512TR with some cosmetic badges. M over that any day. https://exclusivecarregistry.com/details/ferrari/f512-m/48816
The seller of the 512tr speciale that “only” reached $350k last August at Mecum just posted this (I guess there’s a clear disconnection between sellers and buyers) “I can’t control peoples bids but if it was a fake bid I can assure you it would be alot more than 305k. The last estimate was 700k -1M by mecum” I bet $700k-$1M that the car doesn’t sell anywhere close to that price range. Just because a car was a “limited edition” in a very specific market, and it included very cool wheels and color , that doesn’t makes the car 2.5x more valuable. Sent from my iPhone using FerrariChat
He should detail the engine bay and take care of the cosmetic issues for 700k-1mil This car's below an M and certainly below the Spider that sold for 1 mil. Sheesh: https://www.red-headed.com/512tr_speciale.html 512 TR Speciale Designed for the Japanese market. They made only 15 cars of this type, to commemorate the fifteen years that Cornes & Co. has been the Ferrari importer of Japan. The cars have special three piece wheels, a Scuderia Ferrari badge on the front fenders and a deep red / maroon colour, which is called Wine-red metallic.
This exact Cornes edition 512TR has been imported from Japan to Canada after it was sold at a Japanese auction for around $170 000 USD (or maybe it was even less than that). This was EXACTLY 2 years ago. Obviously several small parts are missing and several small things are incorrect and not original, but for me the car looks gorgeous in this color. They tried to sell it in USA via Mecum recently, but the asking price was so ridiculously high, that it was obviously impossible. We'll see how it goes this time, but I don't see what exactly will make its price grow several times for 2 years...
I own a Lamborghini Diablo Roadster Momo Edition (car #1 of 12), and like this it was produced for a specific market (USA).....and it has WAY more extras than the standard car (Interior color, full exterior and interior carbon fiber packages, exterior color (Giallo pearl metallic), wheels (in some cases), 4 point harness (in some cases), plaques, sticker, clothes, etc). It gets a premium over a standard car, but NOTHING even close on the order of 2X
