They should call it the Ferrari Aardvark :)
Only reason I said that was because they had everyone snowed with the Enzo. I don't remember seeing a single picture of the Enzo like this, this far out from its launch. They disguised the Enzo perfectly until it just showed up in press photos one day. I just find it funny they are this out and about with the car. But I believe what you're saying.
Obviously ever body panel is a covering. What IS interesting are the vents. Think about the ducts over the rear haunches, how inboard the mirrors are, the possible exhaust outlets on the sides of the rear window (Porsche 918, P4/5)... http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/17p2680ndq3z7jpg/original.jpg With this image, it's almost like it tapers off in the back and could be open wheeled. Same with that interesting front haunch. But that's a ludicrous long shot. Looks QUITE small. V8 seems logical looking at this picture. The chassis looks narrower than the Enzo's. The door panels look ridiculously wide for how narrow the rear window is compared to the axles. Enzo looked thicker.
^^ the door covering there is riveted on ....i've no doubt the actual door is cut far inside ...indicates the central body possibly quite narrow, and possibly even semi-detatched wheels farings
Open wheeled would be no doubt striking, but then again Ferrari was promising something striking with this F70. Now, making an open wheeled 2-seater look beautiful is a hard job, let's see.
open wheel wouldn't be legal on the street, but some form of semi-detatched farings could be likely ...it wouldn't be surprising to see "through body" aerodynamics used, like in leman prototypes IMO Image Unavailable, Please Login
reports speak of a v12 for enzo replacement car ...ferrari went so far as to show the KERS and next v12 mid engine drivetrain with it Image Unavailable, Please Login
Is this the F1 team prepared for Monte Carlo? If you look real hard you can see Felipe in the passenger seat. That was his driving coach, Giancarlo, giving him a few pointers.
Ferrari stated it would be a V12 but there is a story that say ferrari will do two version maybe that will have the TT V8
Anticipation will get the best of us. I have such high hopes for the latest Ferrari supercar. I have no doubt it will be fabulous. I imagine we will likely see a lot more pics of mules, in the coming weeks, as you can never hide from the Paparrazi. As Jim G. said, the mule has some P4/5 resemblance. This is a good thing. Can you imagine KERS in a streetcar? It will be just like playing Super Mario Cart and pressing the boost button. Maybe the "F70" will Flash as well... as you pass all the 458's and MP4-12C's in your periphery.
