looks hot, dare i say that i want one?!
FWIW I wish they had built the yellow one instead. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Looks pretty good, but I really wish they'd made it a fastback like the Espada. Anyone able to photoshop that?
I really DO like the front fascia. Very bold and aggressive. It's a sport saloon, not a full-blown luxury sedan. Think Jag XJs, Maser QPs... 3/4 Angle also looks nice. Profile...not so much. Still feeling mixed about the rear. Hmm... So what are we calling this? The Urus? The Estoque?
im really underwhelmed by it....well see it my impression changes when i see it in another color....cough cough VERDE
That yellow one does look cool. Is it just me or would that not make for a nice 2009 Alfa GTV? Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Who pray tell is going to buy all of these and 4K California's, Masers, Astons, Panamerica's Bentley's, MB's, BMW's in this economic environment?
To my eye the new car is all wrapped up in the current obsession of straight lines and flame surfacing - the yellow car had a fluidity of line and design which connected the car with its past whilst still looking to the future. This modern rendering will age sooner than it should and will not stand the test of time as well as the yellow car would have done had it been built. A real disappointment. As a multi lambo owner with a real passion for the old cars I cannot see myself ever wanting one of these. This car really has under whelmed me. I would have considered - coveted even the yellow car as a potential future purchase. This one sorry but no thanks & I take absolutely NO pleasure at all in saying so. Bax.
Exactly. That was my first thought too with this when I heard it rumored as a possible SUV or Sedan from Lambo, and when I heard the production #s of the Californias. They must see something about our economy that we don't.
In my view the car fits right down the Ferruccio Lamborghini idea of shocking the automotive commuity and this car for Lamborghini is shocking, but that what's Ferruccio like to do. This car looks awesome, and the fact that Ferruccio always wanted to build road cars, I think it fits right in with the brand and hertiage of what lamborghini set out to do, i.e. build the perfect car, and in todays market there just might be room for a low production ultra high-end 4 door...I remeber a story about Ferruccio taking a rolling chasis to theTurin Auto Show and reving the engine every few mins, just to shock people with sound (if my memerory serves me right) so it fits right in line “… in the past, I bought some of the most famous Gran Turismo cars, and found several flaws. Too hot, not very comfortable or not fast enough, or not finished to perfection. Now I want to make a flawless GT. Not a technical marvel. A very normal, very conventional but perfect car.”- Ferruccio Lamborghini 1963 Maybe this is the perfect road car for today's diver?
an AUDI S8 is a good start , Lambo would take that as a compliment , anyway ; in this REAL world dominated by 4 door performance sedans such as BMW M5 & Audi S8 and Mercedes 4 door "coupe" This new LAMBO will rule !
Those official pics are named : ESTOQUE instead of URUS no matter what name they go for ... I love Lambo names they have a strong essence and personality
Would you really be willing to pay 200k for a car like this? I'm curious to see what kind of performance it actually obtains. ...and this just in! http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/exotic/112_0809_lamborghini_estoque_first_look/index.html
Not sure about the front-end styling, but I'm liking the rest of the car. Especially the rear... http://www.motortrend.com/roadtests/exotic/112_0809_lamborghini_estoque_first_look/index.html
The other poster is mostly right about the rest of the world market but even winky acknowledges uncertainty ahead; http://www.reuters.com/article/Autos08/idUSTRE49026T20081001
