^^^. Well said Andrew.
Lewis has a 3yr contract with MB which started in 2016 @ $150 million = $50 million per yr. so it would make sense that he would end his career in 2018 with Mercedes....if he chooses to end it.
Let's hope he does, Nd let's hope 2017 and 2018 end th same ways 2016, with someone else (hopefully vettel or Kimi) beating him again. And for mr gonsalez, it's unsurprising that stats such as poles, wins or points get beaten these days, since there are twice the number of races now compared to Senna and schumi days, and of course, the top cars rarely break down and have issues, so more finishes than retirements. I remember when it was deemed fantastic that Michael hadn't had a retirement for half a season and that's all the commentators banged on about, now, the cars tend to start and finish most races regardless, failures are generally in practice or even overnight findings in the pits that get sorted before the race
We appreciate that Andrew, but this thread itself is oriented towards elton himself, as a person as well as a driver, so his fashion sense and other personal traits will almost certainly come up. Let's face it, he mostly a good driver, very whiny, but good, it's the person he is that rubs people the wrong way
Based on this Monaco performance, I'd say Merc will be questioning the value for money they are getting from their $50m / year investment in Ham. That was just terrible! That has to be a contender for the worst quali performance I've ever seen him put in.
No worries, I reread it and it sounded chippy, but that wasn't aimed at you, it was really aimed at the nature of f1 now reminding peop,e reading its way easier to hit big numbers these days than before One stat I saw today, Nico rosberg has three Monaco wins to his name, and is top six at the track, elton is way down the list with the also wons!
His personality is irritating, but his personality is not defined by his sexuality and can be discussed without that element. For whatever reason, far too much of your commentary is comprised of unnecessary inferences about, and digs at, this hypothesized homosexuality. This will not be permitted to continue unchecked. Find something else to talk about. All the best, Andrew.
So Canada is a power circuit and it's generally agreed that the Mercedes still have a power advantage. Hamilton could very well win. Should be quite interesting.
To be fair, he did run into bad luck (e.g. VanD ) on his Q2 lap. Although he wasn't exactly ripping up the track before that. Credit where it's due: when he needed it, he finally got a decent race start.
Was about to make a comment based on that first sentence but you rectified it on the 2nd . It's not like he didn't have a chance before that...he had plenty of laps just didn't make it happen at all, whilst his teammate did.
