Saw red 458 on Corron Road and dark red 355 parked on 47 in Elburn today. Nice to see 2 Ferrari's out here in the country.

Yes, they killed the brand and are now offering the S class Maybach which is a more luxurious and expensive version of the regular S class but still an MB. There is also an S class Maybach limo.
Hmm, the exterior looks a lot like an S-Class (which is what is based on)... they should had made it look different... the interior looks amazing though don't understand why anyone would buy a $220k vehicle that looks like its $100k twin https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-i5gf_8eaC0
I had never been and am curious about the world, just went for the weekend. FWIW the people couldn't have been nicer to myself.
From a business standpoint folding the Maybach brand and making it a product line under the Mercedes umbrella is the way to go. The 57 and 62 didn't sell at all after major investment. Making a better interior on an existing platform takes substantially less investment.
I agree the Maybach should have at least look different but low key looks will allow you to move along in stealth luxury. The first Maybach remix was a large percentage of S class the only one that shed most of the S class was the 62 so it makes sense they would follow that formula.
They're going to make a S550 based Maybach (not 600) that'll only be ~150... A really strong option compared to a Flying Spur... There's also talk of a Maybach GL550, which would be an incredible option for us here in Chicago...
Driving home this afternoon west on Deerfield Rd. in my 430 spider I was joined by a black 355 spider for a couple of miles.
Been seeing a lot of Bentleys in the Skokie area. Saw a blue Maserati GT heading north on LSD yesterday.
