Not for a while, I would hope, given the state of the Geneva cars.

812 Configurator back up and running, with even more bugs than before.

Managed to create myself a sort of Targa version.

Taking a leaf out of Enzo's book, it seems that body work will soon be a paid option.....

First deliveries in Europe seem like starting early 2018.

    How about US?

    in the wild"

    Having fun with the configuration.

I have a good connection at home and in my office. It's working pretty well for me!

Hint: when you go back and change the prior selections, sometimes it Doesn't recognize the standard selection.

But it is nice to be able to send yourself a PDF spec. I've got a few of those which I can review and send to my trusted friends

    Terra Bruciata

After my 458 comes with Cioccolato and the FF with Iroko
i always thought about Terra Bruciata for the next one. :)

But i'm a "used" Ferrari buyer and my first new one won't be the 812... :)

Any idea of the cost of the new Rosso 70th Anni - I am hearing conflicting numbers?

    Good question!

For the Lusso, triple layer paint costs $27,000 (USD) I think this is the high end of the special colors category. According to the 812 configurator the Rosso 70 year falls into the special color category,.

By comparison the historic colors cost around $ 12,500 (USD) for the Lusso

I think the upcharge for paint is a major profit generator for Ferrari.

But one can only guess at the stratospheric upcharge for a one of a kind custom paint formulated with TM program. That probably costs quite a bit more.

To my eye, this color is not so nice in the wild.

Flip - I was hoping it would be in the US$12500 category :(

if its a "one off" for the 70th Anniversary and then wont be used again - well thats different

I think you probably misunderstood. I think he was just commenting about one-off TM paint jobs. R70 is a 'special' paint, like Blu Corsa. So around $12,500 is a good guess.

I hope so as at US$27k (and AUD$44k) its a bit violent for a non pearl triple layer :)

Absolutely crazy and unjustifiable paint costs. I am aware of those prices since very, very long but every time I stop to think of it, I still go mad.

Anyone knows the approx. price of a 100% custom colour and/or paint to sample?

I was told circa $50k but it wasn't a quote, just an approximation.

Your spec would be a nice looking car.

I'm curious why people like alcantara so much.

I think you pay extra for this over leather.

(Alcantara is a very old 100% synthetic material invented in the 1970's by Toray a Japanese company. I believe it is composed of polyester and methyl methacrylate or another acrylic copolymer. Okamoto, the chemist from Toray also invented ultrasuede. Another completely synthetic material.

I think good quality leather is so much nicer. But that's just my personal opinion.
