looks like a fun time markus. good of you to organize. you might want to look into the 'anneau du rhin' course near alsace for an event. good course, and the restaurants and local scenery are very nice as well.
Hi Markus Since I am a grass widower this weekend and the weather seems to be good I will join you in the Ace Cafe. I think I still have a leather jacket with a horse on it... It will be the last event this year before hibernation. greets simon
Thanks, Ross! Anneau du rhin will be one (or two) leagues above Lignières I once got a quote from them for hiring the track for a day. I dont remember the exact amount but I think it was about EUR 15 000 plus ambulance etc. If we should happen to have 30+ members in our club maybe we can try to go on a real track like Anneau du rhin. This would be really cool! But let's start small... Markus
Simon They wrote somewhere that they want to do it like the Ace Cafe in the UK. Not sure if it is a franchise though. Markus PS: Will you join too? It is not in Zurich
Markus - This makes sense. To learn how to handle the car in wet conditions will make you also a better driver on a dry track I guess. Great to hear that Karl is on board as well. Part of the fascination for Ferraris for me stems also from the technical aspect represented by this brand. Lots to learn here from people like Karl as well. Yes, Ferrari seems to be quite touchy if it comes to the protection of its brand. Fair enough, lots of money is being invested in this regard. I hear that a lot of Ferrari replica producers experienced massive problems concerning this matter. Other replica-worthy car makes seem to be a bit more easygoing in this regard. Is it possible to save at least the word club at the bottom of the logo? Martin
They have exactly the same logo as the Ace Cafe in London that's why I thought it was a franchise. If not, they should be careful about the copyright. Markus I would love to join, but I am traveling on Sunday so have a few jobs to finish on the Saturday. I promise I will join you guys whenever possible, even if you meet in Zürich
Martin Thanks for your feedback. I told Dimo he should think about keeping the word club in the logo. Some say it is nicer without club and others prefer to keep club in the logo. Simon (anubis) and me were at the ACE cafe this past Saturday: Some Maseratis, a Pantera, A Lambo, two Californias, two Speciales (Simons and another one), my 512 TR and maybe some other Italian cars. Nice weather and nice cafe but nothing special Sorry, I did not take any pictures. Markus
I agree with Markus. The Ace Cafe event was nothing special, not many Ferrari enthusiasts. There are a few pictures on its website.
Look at this and tell me you don't feel like driving the Sustenpass one last time and have some Häslital Rösti at the Steingletscher on Saturday noon. Alpin Center Sustenpass | Hotel Steingletscher | Webcam I might just do that ... Anyone in ?
One of my working collegues (one of only two people at work who know about my red toy) comes originally from Kanton Wallis. While visiting some relatives this weekend, he passed the Furkapass. Confirmed perfect conditions there, no snow and first and foremost very little traffic. Due to other limitations, I have to resist this temptation though. Enjoy your drive on Saturday! Martin
Glorious in every possible way. The fences on the Uri side are off, and it completely alters the view (also alters the risk profile in case of a severe mistake but that's a different story). Not a soul on the road, excellent Haslirösti at the Steingletscher outside in the sun, perfect drive. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login

Stefano Great idea! I was busy the last weekend and cannot join this coming Saturday (I have the annual meeting of the ISO & Bizzarrini Club) but maybe I could join this Sunday. Depends on the work I have to complete over the weekend. Which day do you plan to go? Markus
Hi everyone, I'm a new Ferrari convert (458 Spider) living just outside of Zurich at the lake. I'm stepping up from a long line of Porsches and looking forward to joining you fine gents on many awesome trips! Unfortunately this weekend won't work for me, but I'm having all fingers crossed that somehow we get good weather next weekend too and I can take the beast for a spin.
