    Well,

    i don't trust Top Gear.
All right, the MR FQ-400 is an officially high tuned (405 hp) version of the Evo VIII...but i cannot believe that also in the straight the Murcielago won't cut the gap.

    For me,is pure fantasy.

And listen to Clarkson...one finger powersliding...what a clown.
For me,a real driver is Best Mtoroing's Motoharu "Gan-san" Kurosawa ...not Clarkson.

What do you think about this battle between the MR FQ-400 and the Murci?

To do a drift with only one hand at the wheel is a joke!!! The big plus this Japan-something has is the much lesser weight and max. horsepower is not always helpfull in turns. Also some circuits are better suited for some cars than to others. This "Tora-Tora"-car is a very good contender but I also doubt that it could hold a Murcielago - or is Clarkson as good as a professional racing driver??

    Ciao!

    I know.

The point is that i hate this Clarkson quotes...'this is the best car ive ever driven' (he said this about 1000 times)...this is astonishing/awesome/gorgeous' and so on....

And,for the driving capabilities,i personally think that Clarkson is only good to push the gas pedal on the straight...i've (had :) )Gbytes of Top Gear test drives...and i didn't see any special driving skills.

    He's a good entertainer...no doubt.
    But i love cars,not entertainment!

Both are factory stock cars. The FQ 400 being the hottest of a series. Not unlike the GT/SV versions of Lambo's.

On a tight course like the TG track the FQ400 would have no problems keeping up with the much larger Lambo. If the track had longer straights it would be the Lambo's race to lose.

Both are great cars. To each their own.

In my opinion the Murcielago is and always has been too big and to heavy to compete on a track such as shown. Even on a straight it is about equal with the Mits to 60! However the Mits does not cost $300K.

I don't trust or like TopGear. The car was still "tunned" in one way or another.

What do you mean by unlike the GT/SV versions of lambos?. Those cars are still hot today!.

I miss that show. Gotta admit it's entertaining and has a sense of humor.

Maybe it will come back to our side of the pond.

The Evo is a handfull...in any configuration. You may not like its looks..etc, but that is a street burner. I went up against a 415 HP modified Evo on the interstates in my 700HP FGT, and it was a race from 30-100...then lights out for the Evo. But still....those cars perform.

If the Mits can do it with the wife, kids and groceries in the car, now you got something!

    Exactly.

I cannot believe that a BTCC driver can drive so slow a Murcielago...and look at that stupid error at the end.
    That is pure scenography.

I personally cannot stand Best Motoring. I find the reporting to be incredibly biased and the results to be questionable at best. I'd take Top Gear any day over Best Motoring.

Regarding the piece, I think that Mitsu is an amazing machine. The Murcie is a GT and doesn't excel on the track. The Mitsu by contrast is tossable, nimble, and is more than a handful against the Murcie at the given venue.

    No boubt on this.

    But for me,TG is pure entertainment...is like a film....the colors,the words....etc.

I cannot believe that really a BTCC driver can lose the Murci in that corner...for me is pure scenography.

Well, for Best Motoring you're right about the last episodes...but i must admit that the 1991-1995 Suoerbattles and the Ferrari Special were awesome :)!

Either way the evo is up there for ultimate grocery getter status.
