A long deserved wash and leatherique treatment after daily driving her for a week.

Out. Almost 1,000 miles since restoration. Very comfy to drive. 😀. People stopped and asked questions. I let them sit in the car while I took photos Image Unavailable, Please Login
Started the car last evening after sitting for a month. Engine started on first cranking, smooth idle and A/C blows cold. Went for a short 16km drive on a twisty road after warming up. Pulls strong all the way up to 120km/hr, heel and toe down shifting, feels great! The car craves for more! Alright, another 10km highway and city drive. Got too carried away by the fun and totally forgot about Friday evening traffic, stuck... The last 20mins drive was traffic jam everywhere, lots of attention on the road, friendly ones. Oil and water temperature stayed fine even in the 32-33 degree Celsius heat here. What else you can ask?
After an embarassingly long time, finally got around to fixing the fuel pump problem. Good to hear that exhaust again, & smell the leather. Now for some fresh oil, then extricate it from the remains of the garage for a bath & leather dressing. Image Unavailable, Please Login
Getting the 308 ready for our trip to Monterey. Needed to clean up the interior. Taking off the old dye and restoring back the original color. Pretty wild to see my 308 with the door panels off. Next week the original radio goes back in and then it it gets it's final detail before pick up. The interior is finished and so is the engine compartment. Finial detail in a couple days then pack it up all with the show goodies. Horseless Carriage will pick up by the end of the week. Can't wait to get to Monterey. Oh Boy! Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Over the past 2 weeks I have treated the paintwork to the full Zymol treatment (although didn't need a klaybar stage) and am very happy with the result. The car was repainted 5 years ago now and it still shines. Also cleaned the leather today with Gliptone, works very well too, and rubbed in the cream that feeds it. Also very happy it still has the matt finish and hasn't gone shiny like old leather. It's not old leather though, it was retrimmed 8 years ago. Also put in a screw in to the door card that I'd not got round to putting in since the retrim... Sorry the pics aren't correctly orientated; not sure how to do that. Dialed the 1-4 Exhaust Cam finally into within 1* Crank along within 1* on the Intake, and now it is time to get them both down to +/- 0.5 degrees on the crank and then call it a day. Next up 5-8, Exhaust and Intake.
Installed racing pedals and gear knob from Ricambi. They don't make me go any faster, but the chrome and aluminum do look pretty cool contrasted with the black IMO. Now I'm wondering if I should get the dead pedal to match? Image Unavailable, Please Login
Simple for me. On my 308 I replaced the Coolant Cap with a new OEM one and took apart a window switch. Cleaned the switch, put in back together and it works well.
Mine went into the shop. Gas smell going around corners and while she's there: hit the brake, the Radar detector would cycle like it lost power. Maybe the alternator? Though the gas gauge is jumping around and the oil pressure gauge is low, so maybe something simple like a bad ground. And the classic tapping from the A/C belt. A tightening didn't help.
