They've held amazingly strong at 95-100k for over 5 years.

In the past the "bottom value" for classics has been the 14-16 year mark.

I've seen a few touch the mid $80kUSD high milage, early productions etc... I can't see it going much lower than that.

    Pretty solid car overall.

Yeah, they probably change hands well under those $90k asks, but I'm still surprised how resilient they have been, even more than 360s - except for the recent burst in manual 360 prices.

they built 14,000 Gallardos between 2004-2013.

in that time, Ferrari built how many 360/430/458s? probably 50k+?

so I'm not surprised that Gallardos have held their value.

A decent 2004 Gallardo is fully depreciated. You will have to pay for mechanical upkeep.

I am, while they kept reworking the car, it looks like almost the same car for a decade!

But yes, AFAIK they are pushing 40,000 of the 360/430 chassis among all variants. I thought I read that 360s alone were in the 18k range.

I'll probably be crucified for saying this on this forum, but I like the 360 less and less as the years go by from purely a design standpoint. Whereas I still really like the Gallardo design as much as when I first saw it. Only my opinion - would still love to own a 360 CS with all that said.

The CS has always been the one to have, and will remain a true collector car IMO.

I think that the most visually balanced Gallardo is the LP-560-4/550-2 version.

    Best to worst:
    LP-560/550-2
    Performante
    LP 570
    Trofeo
    Base
Squadra Corse (I think these look like a bad Mansory kit)

Sorry nothing looks worse than Mansory, even a AMC Pacer is better. I do agree with your ranking.

I agree with this. one of the last edition 550-2 manual trans cars will be a nice collectible.

agree with bounty too, the 360/430 (430 more so in my opinion) aren't aging well but the Gallardos are.

    It's like a 911!

Yes I would bet the most "collectible" will be the Balboni, 550-2 manuals and the Performante and Stradale.

I would argue it's worse than a 911; there are mechanical differences between each 911 variant. most of the Gallardo variants were just trim changes.

For base models I would estimate high 70's at the lowest.

I never was a fan of any V10 after plunking down 60k as a "dealer adjustment price" for 92 Viper in 92 but Lambo really stepped up the V10 game in my opinion. Plus the Gallardo I had (a 2005) was more practical than that 92 Viper. I put 38k miles on it and no problems. The Viper had 5k on it when it needed a new engine.

They will bottom in the 60k area just like the 360 did before the bubble. Nothing right now is priced as it should be..all prices are inflated at the moment.

Gallardos bottomed out a couple years ago and have climbed up slightly/held steady the last few years....gated manuals are slowly still going up but nothing like the meteoric rise of the gated 430's. They are without a doubt the lowest maintenance true exotic out there.

A few more years to go. 2018-2020.. $55 for 1st versions with high miles.. Everything else obviously higher. It will be good bang for the buck. If credit and housing fall apart again as many think then knock off another 10 grand.

The gallardo is far from a true exotic..The only thing exotic about it the price.
