Trying to determine what VIR's current policy is for spiders (any convertibles) with built in hoops or roll bars. Apparently, issue used to be that individual roll bars or hoops could cause flipped car to dig two rows and not provide sufficient protection for driver. I have driven my spider there a number of times, but not recently.

If the roll hoops are permanently placed, there should be no problem, at least for newer cars, e.g. Boxsters before 2005 were not permitted without a Brei Krause roll bar. It is mostly the pop-ups that are problematical and Kevin said they look at each car individually. Also, broomstick rule applies to all cabs.
