So the Corvette GTP should be done around Nov

My Katech Z06 pulls near 1.5 G in corners & it's exhausting after a whole day on track

The GTP will likely pull at very least 2g in corners & probably 1.5 G in acceleration & braking

Crew Chief says I have 60-90 min races. So how do you train for 90min of High G ?

Buy a TAG race kart, and condition yourself while having fun. Karts are capable of over 2 G's, which is comparable to F1.

First, have form-fitting seats to hold you in place (check out bald spot sports for the best impact absorbing materials and custom fitting services); second, have some head surround for both bracing and support; third, strengthen your neck muscles; fourth, endurance training for your heart.

Let me know when you plan to run, either testing or racing.

Call Jim Leo at PitFit in Indy. He'll design a program for you. Were you eating lunch today at a picnic table on the hill with a lady with a Hubbell shirt on?

Saw the silver car on the concours field! Looks great with the repaint.

Seriously, this method is really the best for high-G training.

Most top drivers who race in high-downforce cars such as open wheeled formula cars
or closed wheeled sports cars have a regime that is prescribed by team physios.

In the case of the Audi Sport team drivers, they are prescribed a special diet, every calorie
that they take in is closely monitored. You'll notice that after every stint, Dr. St. John
(the Audi team doctor) puts an orange drink concoction bottle in their hand which they
start taking in immediately, this would be a type of heavy electrolyte drink taylor made
    to each driver.

Their exercice regime is also closely monitored by Dr. St. John. They all have a daily run,
bicycle for cardio work and a gym work out program that they closely follow throughout the
year. Earlier this year, for example, Tom Kristensen took part in a 24-hour off road bicycle race
and most drivers bicycle for cardio workout.

Other drivers like Jenson Button and Oliver Gavin are regular participants in marathons so it's
not a surprise when you see these drivers get out of their cars after a long stint looking as fresh
as they did when they got in.

The closed cockpit prototypes are hot to drive in. Some described it as being inside an
oven and so they came along with the cool suits during the GTP era which circulate cold water
through a vest worn under the driving suit which are still used today.

The high numbers are seen for short periods, plenty of time in between. Accelaration drops off with speed, cornering is a bit longer than the braking periods. Overall fitness and cardio should be all that you would need aslso breathing control. I do hope you are able to experience close to true maximum G forces, most vintage cars are never driven to as much as 80% of their capabilities.

yep, cardio and breathing control (think fighter jet pilots in those g-suits), also neck and shoulder muscles take a pounding. calling PitFit is a great idea.

karting in south Florida heat/humidity will help a lot too ;)

As simple as it seems, it is important to breathe when driving.

One of my colleagues ran an endurance karting business and he told me how many
first time drivers would unconsciously hold their breath while driving and pass out at the
    wheel.

It's hard to breathe while in a hi G corner. Even F1 guys find it hard on tracks with few straights.

Since doing more cardio, legs, shoulders & core I have much more endurance. Also I'm more cognizant & staying consistent hitting marks as races wear on or when doing longer practice stints because my mind doesn't think about muscles getting tired & etc. Data shows that improvement.
Also looking to get into a Pitfit program to get more out of myself.
