I was at a driving clinic where we were learning drifting techniques. Used these things called easy drift tire covers. They are put on rear tires to decrease traction and allow for drifting at low speeds. Like driving on ice. Was lots of fun and pretty difficult to master.

I asked about getting a set for myself but was told they don't sell retail. Looked them up online but all they seem to sell are t shirts advertising the tire covers. Anyone know more about them?

They won't sell them to you because of liability. I also asked one of my coaches who is a formula d driver and he said they are junk. At least in his opinion, the traction is so low that it hurts learning of the proper techniques. Better to pay for skid pad time.
