Does anybody know the chassis number or the name of the owner of this 275 GTB/4, with UK registration but LHD?
    Thank you.

Ok its not currently on the UK register and the plate is age related and should not be possible as it suggests first registration in the UK between August 1 1971 & July 31 1972 in London

    Thank you.
I believe but am not sure that the photo was taken in Modena in the early 1970s. I appreciate all help in identifying this car.

It may possibly be S/N 10949 and it may have been owned by British photographer David Bailey who in about 1971 was the husband of French actress Catherine Deneuve. Does that ring a bell? Did Bailey own this blue 4-cam? The "K" plate would fit with 1971/1972.

Websites and adverts can be wrong but Bobileff & Barchetta have 10949 as red/black with a slight implication on the latter that it has always been so

The background of the photo certainly feels more southern European than English

I own factory paperwork which confirms that 10949 was originally Blu 20-A-185 with Nero VM 8500 interior. Bobileff had the car almost 30 years later...............of course, it has been repainted into re-sale red. Don't listen to dealers. I also have written confirmation that as of February 1993 S/N 10949 was still blue and not red.

The background of the photo is most probably the building of a Carrozzeria or mechanical shop in downtown Modena. I just don't have confirmation for this. The first owner of 10949 was Mr. Toninelli in Milan. The second owner was the lover or husband of French actress Catherine Deneuve and if that was David Bailey and the "K" plate does refer to 1971/1972 then this photo most probably shows 10949. Being a car originally delivered in Italy and not in the UK it is LHD, as you can see on the photo. It all fits. All I am seeking is maybe some confirmation that Bailey ever owned or drove a Ferrari. Thank you.

"In 1965, she married hipster British photographer David Bailey. They separated in 1970, officially divorcing in 1972."

By an interview with People in 1977 : "David has sold his Rolls and Ferrari."

I sold #10949 well over 10 years ago, and at that time, it was given to me to sell , and it was in fact red with a black interior.

I used to know David Bailey quite well, but not seen him for a long enough time that it would be difficult to call him out of the blue.

It's a shame you didn't ask a few weeks earlier as I was talking to his then assistant, now a famous photographer, John Swannell, who I bumped into at an exhibition opening. I will ask him the question if I happen to meet him again.
