The ninth BIAMF will take place on Saturday, April 16th 2011. As usual it will be located on closed roads in the historic Old City area of Bristol and this year Ferrari and Benelli will be our featured marques. Neither of these makes will need any introduction to Italian transport enthusiasts and there will also be the usual wide cross-section of other makes and models of Italian cars, motorcycles and scooters, with some rarities to be found within the streets which make up the display areas. One of the consistent attractions of this event for entrants and spectators alike is the sheer variety to be found within the 400+ exhibits. For information on how to enter your vehicle (2 or 4 wheeled) please see the Festival website http://www.biamf.co.uk. Early application is advisable as the event always becomes over booked.

Yes Folks! Its that time of the year again. Please lets have a great Ferrari turnout.

    Not a bad turnout, 26 Ferraris present including 365 GTC, 365 GTB/4, 288 GTO and F40.

Not quite sure what the two fake Ferraris were doing there though, no different to the kit car Stratos I guess.
And in my personal opinion instead of the immature 'rev your engines' segment this time could have been used to educate the public about some of the cars present over the PA system.
I lost count of the amount of times I heard slack jawed yokels saying the hideous Triumph powered thing that he owner claimed to resemble a 166 Inter to be worth between 4 & 5 million!!!!
And then there was 'Magnum's car'.....
Yokel # 1: "That's the car Magnum drove" (about the 288 GTO)
Yokel # 2: "Yeah, its the F40 innit".

Anyway, whinge over, good show, it was free!

    Some pics....

Nice pics paul, did you take any of my 328?
It had the rear dec lid open most of the day, bad move every Tom Dick and Harry were leaning all over the car trying to look at the engine.
    Hand prints and scratches everywhere!!!!!!!!!!!
It was a good day though.
Did you see the 360 beltching smoke out of both banks trying to get parked, looked expensive to me.
    Regards,
    Roy

If anyone is in the south west, the 2012 edition of the Bristol Italian Auto Moto Festival takes place tomorrow.
    See here: http://www.biamf.co.uk/
Forecast looks sensible so I'll pop along with the camera.
