Since I didn't get any responses in the "Literature" forum, I figured I'd try this here: In around 1991, the BBC did a 13-part series about the history of motor racing called "The Power and the Glory" which was issued in the U.S. as a subscription series by Columbia House. (13 thirty-minute tapes - rather extravagant. It was issued in Britain on two tapes!) Unfortunately, this excellent series has apparently never been issued on DVD. Is there anyone on here with any connections to the BBC who might be able to persuade them to issue the programs on DVD? I don't care if it's on PAL, since I have a player capable of playing that format (though it really should also be on NTSC). In the meantime, I may record them onto DVD myself, four episodes to a disc. And can anyone tell me the sequence that the episodes appear on the BBC tapes?
Great series, I have it on VHS. Would be great to get it on DVD. Yes, welcome back Steve. Hope all is well.
Thanks guys, I am a lot better now thanks but the downside is you lot will have to put up with me now
