My good buddy and I are thinking of going to the Goodwood Revival this Sept 12-14.

Wives will be looking at dusty castles....

    Any advice about:

    Local hotels

    Ticket packages

    Lunch packages

    Grandstand choices

    Etc.

    All info greatly appreciated.

    Thanks!

Ticket & hotel advice doesn't change much year to year so check out previous years for starters eg search advanced search goodwood titles only

Hotels can get booked up quickly, I believe, so you may want to act fast.

    It's a great event, enjoy.

Well, all I read suggest we probably missed the boat for ths year. Maybe book the hotels for next year on the likely weekends and cancel the wrong ones.

Sounds like without good planning of logistics, it could easy to have an unpleasant experience.

    So, maybe 2015!

I've been to 7 of 'em and you should still have time to get it arranged if you devote some time to it. I'm sure tickets are still available, but you need to start planning for a place to stay. Check hotels in Chichester and look at web sites that have cottage rentals. Search in West Sussex. Knowing someone "on the ground" in south England can be a huge help, as can British FChat members.

I should tell you that Revival has become very crowded and somewhat commercialized. I count myself lucky to have been to some of the early ones. Still, it's an event not to be missed. It is truly unique. See if you can hook up with a GRRC member to get better access to paddock, etc.
