I was driving over to Brussels this weekend and a large stone got kicked up and whacked the windscreen on the passenger side by the windscreen wiper. Slowly over the weekend it has developed into a 12" crack.

I am covered for a replacement on my insurance with Autoglass. Should I trust it to them or insist it is carried out under the supervision of a Ferrari agent? Any other UK based drivers had this issue to sort out?

    Many thanks.

Check with your servicing dealer what they recommend as some screens have very breakable expensive surrounds and so Autoglass etc may not touch

I've always insisted they're done by main dealers although tbh I think they bring a windscreen specialist in!. Surrounding trim will also need to be replaced, don't be surprised if bill is £4k!

Let the main dealer sort it, the screen will still be paid for under your insurance, and the dealer can use whoever they like to fit it, and it's on their watch! Had several replaced over the years, never a problem (not the 612 though, 575 and several masers)
