    Hi
I am planning on a trip to visit a race car engine builder in the motor valley. In the meantime, I am hoping to find a retired F1 chassis for my f1 car project.

The engine builder didn't really specifically give me any leads on the chassis, so I was hope you people from UK could have some intel on this. i.e. where to look for those retired f1 chassis?

    Any info would help greatly!

I wonder how much that pair of Jordan F1s with the trophies and helmets sold for. It's a pretty cool setup and I'm not a big Jordan fan (although I love the 7UP livery Jordans).

was denied entry to UK and was held at a detention center for a day before my return flight, customs cite that : you don't have a return ticket, you only have 800 pounds in your pocket.

2 sellers called the immigration numerous times saying the guy(me) was here for cars! in vain, decision upheld.

I guess so much for my f1 dreams and I thought that the UK is friendly to US citizens.

I am still recovering from the shock received from that hellish condition of the detention center.

    what a disappointment.

Why didn't you have a return ticket, were you hoping to drive the F1 home?

because I seriously didn't know how many days I was going to stay, I told the customs up to 15 days, maybe just 5 days.

Only £800 in your pocket? I go to USA and don't have $100 in my pocket.....but I do have credit cards! There is more to it than "no return ticket" surely. Do you have a bad history?
They don't send you back just for no return ticket.

come on , I don't even throw prophylactic into recyclable

i guess the office just had a bad day and directed that to me

they said "if you can go back and pay for a visa ", maybe buying a car is considered business trip so I need a visa?

Why did you not just purchase an open return ticket, as you were heading home anyway? dont take it personally, many many people turn up with no return ticket at Heathrow, with hardly any cash on them, saying they are only here for a short visit and then simply vanish once past immigaration control, customs were just doing their job properly based on experience.
