Yes. Go to National Rail Enquiries - Official source for UK train times and timetables and you can put in the details of where you want to go form and to and when and it will show you where you have to change (if you do) and the price etc. and you can book your ticket from there too. Jonathan
Don't just accept the first price you are given. It will be the most expensive and there are lots of other offers which could save you up to 50%.
Just back from my own hols, so am catching up. The train route to Cornwall is one of only two left in the country which has a night service, with couchettes or cabins. The entire night train is a sleeping compartment only service
That sounds like fun, have you got any more details please? I looked on trainline and could not find it. Also surely the whole journey is only about three hours so how do they pad it out for all night?
London Truro is 284 miles according to Google - not exactly 3 hours especially not with the roads beyond Exeter Also via Google London - Cornwall sleeper train | Timetable, fares, tickets for the Night Riviera
It's a great scenic route, particularly along the sea wall at Dawlish. It would be a shame to miss all that.
Apologies, Phil, for getting back late to your query. Try London - Cornwall sleeper train | Timetable, fares, tickets for the Night Riviera I agree with francisn, that the route is scenic, so you might consider one way during the day and one by night. The journey time seems interminable because once you get down towards Plymouth, the fast train begins to dawdle. Admittedly, along the coast, which is attractive, but after that the route goes inland and it has a country railway feel to it. Definitely not a high-speed line. London to Paris, around 220 miles, is down in 2h40 minutes, I think. Don't be fooled by the Cornish Riviera Express!
Watch out at the moment, the line is likely affected by industrial action (strikes), which this bank holiday weekend has cut a lot of services out.
