    A beautifully warm, sunny, early Autumn day brought a large crowd out to the monthly Tartan Tarmac meeting in North Lanarkshire today. Enthusiatic owners of cars of all shapes and sizes, from supercars to not so supercars, kicked tyres and chewed the fat with like minded petrolheads. Amongst many interesting cars was a six litre, supercharged Porsche 928.

    This is a nice, friendly event, held on the last Sunday morning of every month. I recommend it to anyone within range of central Scotland. Details are on the Tartan Tarmac website.

    It's Tartan Tarmac Sunday again this weekend. I don't think we're going to get the lovely weather we had last month, but I expect there will still be a good turnout.

    The venue is at Eurocentral on the A8, in the huge car park behind the Dakota hotel. From 9.30am.
