I further reinforce my previous suggestion that the UK section of FChat should link to a different forum called Club Scuderia or something along those lines...the UK section here is dead, nothing happens here, I am sure there is a commercial solution to satisfy Mr Lay... Paul
wow love the selection of cars, i keep meaning to go to this..... is that last white ferrari one of Chris Evans old ones he resprayed all his white didnt he apart from the 250 and was selling off a load recently including a fiat 500
Ah, so there is life in the UK section... No this lovely 328 is a Swiss Market car, supplied new in February 1988, not coming to the UK until a few months ago, it looked lovely in its original colour and was really well presented, if only it were RHD...I was a little tempted...it was showing just shy of 53,000 kms with an asking price of £80k. Hi Paul. Was the FOC stand a purely red affair this year? I was thinking of going today but the dreary weather put me off, so I cleaned so cars instead!!
We let the visitors get up close to their hero cars last year... A great display celebrating Fioravanti's contribution to Ferrari, and it received.... precisely no coverage in the club magazine. -Ed Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Hi Grant, Yes, all red, mostly Rosso Corsa...not a classic in sight... It was impressive to see the five 'hypercars' from 288 GTO to La Ferrari in a row and I am sure pleased the younger attendees to the show. Personally, I would have liked to see something a little older. The majority of the trade stands had mostly modern Ferraris on display with the exception of Duncan Hamilton who had a 246 GT on their stand as did Classic Cars magazine. Paul
That was an impressive display Ed, maybe that's where the idea for this year came from! Thanks Paul. Great photos as always.
Thanks for posting pics - was thinking about going, to see Classics.....do you have any pics of the Orange Muira?
I didn't get any, the Lamborghini's were roped off and poorly set out, the SVJ was tucked away and difficult to even look at. Paul Image Unavailable, Please Login
I went up to the stand yesterday and told them I wanted to complaint about the rampant Rosso racism afflicting the club and the lack of black Ferrari's. Apparantly it's the Bob Wallace Jota. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
Yes, I did see it and only got some reference photos of it (difficult to get anything decent of it). I quite liked the Rosso Scuderia 599 GTB Fiorano with Daniel Donovan (delivery mileage yet somehow with curbed wheels!!!!) and the dark blue 612 Scaglietti with Graeme Hunt. Yes the Lambos were tightly packed onto the stand. Here is the Muira. Image Unavailable, Please Login
I saw the Mondial yesterday, looks great. 1 of 6 in that colour i read on the info sheet. Im friends with John Pogson on FB , he posted a pic of himself stood next to it. His old car!
Are the Ferrari stands just a thing that happens in the November show? I went to the April show and not a Ferrari to be seen!
I think you mean the practical classics restoration and classic car show? Classics Restoration | What's On at the NEC, Birmingham
