    (from a Yank):

Have the London suburbs and exurbs benefited from the breathtaking London realestate prices? Specifically interested in the Chiltern Hills area (close proximity to Wendover/Halten Buckinghamshire/>40 mins to LHR).

Would also like to know if anyone would recommend Realestate Agents in that area, with whom they have had some experience.

Might be selling an inherited family property...

    Thanks in advance,
    Tritone

    PM if you wish please....

Hi There .... from what i know from friends the London market has calmed from its frenzy price wise prices are dropping and have been since march 15 ie 1 bed flats £500-550 now the wrong side of £500k .... also the stamp duty changes had a big effect on higher priced housing in the capital....

Agents depends on the price of the unit, for detached rural mid to high end you want Savils, Hamptons, Knight Frank ... someone like 'Fine and Country' as agents tend to cover a broader range of prices so a good call unless its a average estate house. For a more modest dwelling then search the area on the net on one of the sites below and see which agent has similar also good to check your prices on, always get 3 valuations, dont lead the estate agent on price or give any indication or expectation of what you expect... they tend to tell you what you want to hear to get the instruction. Also make it clear your getting 3 valuations so all agents put there best foot forward. If all agents have been honest the prices should be between 5-10% of each other, be wary of any very high or very low prices given....

Its all no sale no fee here, you sometimes pay for a brochure if the house is nice enough, its cheaper to go with one agent (Sole Agency) expect to be quoted 1-2% of the eventual sale price, multiple agency is of course more than one.......

Agents are all online now on one of the three sites if not all 3 so you dont need more than one agent really to reach the world UK's number one property website for properties for sale and to rent PrimeLocation > Search Property For Sale & To Rent Via Leading Estate Agents and www.onthemarket.com which is the newest ones not happy with rightmove...

    hope thats some help

If you have to go visit there's a nice small plane museum at RAF Halton only open on Tuesdays or by appointment RAF Halton - Trenchard Museum

Echo above sites - some of Central London has fallen back a little but still the prices around London are quite surprising

Not sure if you have the time or inclination. But you could save yourself thousands in real estate agency fees if you used someone like www.purplebricks.co.uk your property would still end up on sites like rightmove which is peoples first point of search.
