Hey, I haven't been paying attention - there's generally too much other sport I follow here in the States, but I happened to catch a very good hilite show after watching 'my' SJ Sharks earlier. (It's now set on the DVR - hilites good! ) Anyway, that prompted me to look at the table, & I'm like wtf is going on here!? Friggin Leicester City at the top! My guys (Spurs) 2nd! Everton & Chelsea nowhere! Strange times..... Anyone else? Cheers, Ian
Ian, the league is seriously weird this year, hardly any consistency. Injuries plaguing teams, managers losing their touch. Liverpool (my team) beat someone 6-0 the other day, and then couldn't beat a side three divisions below them the next game in the cup! You wouldn't bet your house on anything this year
+1 However, this 'injuries' & 'managers losing their touch' stuff seems like BS to me..... We get the same nonsense here. As for beating much higher ranked guys, many years back I went to watch my local guys (Woking!) play at Everton in the Cup - I think the whole town shut down & decamped up there that day. We're down 1-0 at the half and figured at least we're not getting blown out. Came back and beat 'em 4-1! My boys 'hero' (who we all drank with after home games) got a hat-trick & was helicoptered down to the BBC studios that night. The Cup can be awesome! More memories. Cheers, Ian
I hate them all! Haha. Unfortunately I'm a Liverpool fan, and am in a Suarez bubble until we sort ourselves out..... Benteke, the new heskey! What a donkey
Big EPL fan but a complete neutral. Love watching the fall from grace this year, in Chelsea and LVG's boys. Even Man C seem "off", although they are still up there. It's been a lot of fun to watch LC, Watford, and the likes battle it out. I thought CP would have made a march yet Pardew seems to have lost his touch recently. Watching Liverpool has been like eating on of Forest Gump's chocolates...
^^ Well stated. It's certainly piqued my interest again. Which given the sport I get here (Warriors, 49'ers, Sharks, Giants are all 'local') is definitely something of a breakthrough..... Now have the weekly EPL hilite show programmed into the DVR. Great stuff! Cheers, Ian
