The Ferrari Centre in Maidstone used to service my former 355, so I'm now thinking of sending in a 550 for a major service and recommissioning. When they took care of my 355 I was particularly impressed by the personal follow up that I received from Alastair. Meanwhile Alastair has moved on to Foskers, so I am wondering what to do.

Any preference? Foskers or The Ferrari Centre? Or doesn't it really matter and are both good places?

    Thanks!

I tried a fair few places in the south east mate and ended up using Keys Motorsport at Silverstone track, Tom there does a fantastic job with my 430 and I only use him now, including for my 911 even though they're a Ferrari specialist. In my opinion it's worth transporting the car there.

If I was in your situation and you're happy with the work your guy did I'd follow him to Foskers, it's difficult to find people who take pride in their work these days.

Hope this helps, since over the years I've found the UK owners on this forum don't appear to have their ferrari's serviced anywhere.

I've used loads of places and would only ever get my cars serviced at Emblem Sports Cars in Poole. Their customer service is light years ahead of anybody else I've used!

I bought my GT4 from Terry Keys about 10 years ago. Good place and he was pretty decent to deal with. He serviced the car for several years until I hooked up with Braunton Engineering in Devon about 2 years ago.

Sorry not really South East though....!

Carrs at Exeter, speak to mark ware.. They've looked after every super car I've owned since 2002, never missed a beat and the pricing is very good.

I have to say that having bought all my cars from The Ferrari Center in Maidstone, i cant heap enough praise on them. They have serviced and stored my cars for a number of Years and i have always found Roger and Claire Collingwood honest and straight forward to deal with.
For 4 years i drove every year from Rome to Maidstone to have my 360 Spider MOT'd and serviced by TFC .... that should tell you something!
As a side ...Their restoration of my Dino GTS and 308 Vetro , was just breathtaking ! (my old Dino is now resides in a major collection ... to attest for the quality of work carried out)

I also got on really well with Alistaire Gill , a really great customer relations guy and was very sad when he left for Foskers .... but not sad enough to move my loyalty to Brands Hatch!

I no longer drive, but when I bought my cars and had them serviced at The Ferrari Centre, both when Alasdair was there and after he left. Like Jezter, I can't fault them.

It seems that everyone who has answered here has a good story to tell about their service centre, so perhaps there's also an element of personal rapport.

I bought my car 4 years ago from The Ferrari Centre and drive 2.5 hours every January to have my car serviced there. Then a train home, train back and finally drive home.

I get good rates, sound and practical advice, as Roger & Claire know my budgets and usage of the car, so will advise what can be put off for a year etc.

Alastair is very good but he is the Service Manager, not on the tools, so whilst he will give good advice, he's not doing the job, so the technicians are crucial.

Emblem are excellent, I have known them since before they started, and there are many good service centres around the UK. But some not so good...
