Wife and I were in a cottage near Bath in the spring and coverage was terrible. I believe it was Vodafone. We'll be in Dorset in 2 weeks and I'm wondering if there is a better choice or is coverage in the countryside just not very good? Even in bigger towns there tended to be no service. https://www.vodafone.co.uk/explore/network/uk-coverage-map/ West of Poole does not look great but generally towns should be ok Some phones have a setting limiting them to which network speed they pick up - might be worth checking to ensure all are active or even turning off 4g
It's the hills around there, apparently, very magnetic and traditionally never allowed much of a reception for mobile signals. I've never had issues in Dorset, and I'm on Vodafone. You should be okay
