IF YOU DON'T HAVE A PS3 YET, GO GET ONE! http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/857/857126/vids_1.html Image Unavailable, Please Login
This fall when Sony drops the price of the PS3 by a nice 100 bucks I will be getting one. Cant wait to get this but I wonder how many times it will be delayed.
the 60gb one is only 499 now. but i hear its only that low to get rid of all the 60gb ones once there all sold out the 80gb one will be the only one you will be able to get at 599. My PS3 comes on Wensday. i cant wait till gt5
I don't like the new racing games these days... too complicated, although this does look amazing. I still have the most fun playing Mario Kart on my old Nintendo 64.
I played the demo at Target so here are my early thoughts... The gameplay feels very "Gran Turismo". That is everything feels the same. I used the 599 in Rosso Corsa with no driving aids. The car has way to much power and gets very loose, and also plows a little heading into the corners. The graphics IMO are not amazing. They look like GT4 on steriods or the difference between regular TV and HD TV. Perhaps we have all been spolied by other titles and games, the graphics are impressive, just not Earth shattering. The crowd looks awesome! Apparently, when you buy the game you only get 10 cars and 4 tracks. The rest have to be purchased from Sony (this was a rumor, not sure if its true).
I remeber when I pt my deposit on GT4 and a year and a half and 4 release push backs later I finally got it I think thats for HD not GT5 when GT5 comes out I think it will play like all others.
Yeah I played it at BestBuy. The game looks great. Looks incredible. Better than any of the 360 racing games I own. The 599 felt VERY loose and the braking was horrible. I'm going to blame that on Sony though, there is no way that is accurate. The 599 is just too good to have poor braking like that. But I'm sure these will be fixed when the game comes out... in January 08... -Colin
I dont know how many times i can play the demo, before i go crazy. Prologue soon. Full game who knows but I cant wait. Image Unavailable, Please Login
i bought my 40gb version for $399+tax.......not a video game player but, blu-lay (no more HD disc) + gt5 is enough reason to buy. The reg. blu-ray players cost more than ps3.
This picture clearly shows how unrealistic video games are: You could never park your Ferraris in the middle of a German pedestrian zone without getting towed immediately. Heck you couldn't even get there physically. Seriously: Can't wait for GT5. That will be the second game I get to play on my PS3. So far I only used it for DIRT.
+1. GT4 ceased to be entertaining to me because it required soooooo much attention and dedication. I'd rather dedicate myself to the real thing in my driveway, even if it is slower. The feedback on my SE-R isn't that great, but it's even worse through a PS2 controller. Still, GT5 looks like a great game. And I am glad they finally got some Ferraris...it was about time.
WOW, I still can remember when I saw the first gran turismo game, I was amazed by the reflections, the realism, the feedback of the car, the replay was amazing to me!, every aspect was just marvelous, and now, it seems to be the new great reason to get a new console. does anyone has the real release date? january 08? I haven´t seen it yet.
Ferrari fans may have even more reason to love Gran Turismo, now. GT5 has also now become the first pre-release PS3 Platinum Title with 1 million pre-orders. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
