That little fuel pump is working to fill six carbs....mine actually is audible all the time, but changes tone slightly after a minute or so, signalling carbs are full and ready to go... |

Sad part is, I will never be able to afford to buy the one I want. So as usual, I will live my life through the eyes of members here that own these wonderful machines.

Thank you
Thank you. Yes I like the looks although there are many more beautiful Ferrari's. I was very close to buying a Lusso because I think optically it is more beautiful and elegant. But the 275/4 fascinated me because of all the reports I had read, saying it was one of the best road going Ferrari's to drive. And besides, there is something interesting about a car that is not perfect in looks. I think the 250 GTO is a good example. I looks like a monster (in fact it was termed that by Ferrari themselves) but because of the performance - it is the most sought after car of them all.

Day 4
So I decided to participate in a rally with the 275/4. I drove four hours to Germany, drove for two days more than 5-6hours per day and then drove back four hours to Zurich, and the car gave me no problems! How about that! So much for the saying old cars are not reliable.
The howling of the V12 engine on the German autobahn is priceless and the weather was just perfect. |

Restoration
Here is what my car will look like in the original color. Everyone is telling me to keep it Red but I am for changing it into the original Blue / Beige combination.
Any other opinions? |

I have blue/biege on one of mine, it's really nice.
Blue carpets complete and really accent the interior... But painting these cars is a *%^&%^!! I vote "drive it read for a while"........then decide. |

I think your car will look great no matter what colour it is, though, should you need to change it, I would advise against red. Something about the 275 makes it seem like whenever I have seen a picture in red I automatically think 'Wow, nice GTO mate.", whereas if it's in a colour other than that it is more so a "WOW! Nice 275 mate!". Drive in good haste! Michael. |

![]() That is also a gorgeous colour. I would paint it as it will have the original colour then. ![]() I hope you drive and enjoy the car for a while before you decide to take it off the road to restore it.

To me a no brainer: Blue/beige. It's absolutely beautiful. Red, not as much, plus there's a ton of red Ferrari's.

Today's market is more sophisticated and significant value is put on originality and provenance so yes back to original colours would be my view.
Hopefully the days of painting Ferrari's 'retail red' to make them easier to sell are long gone. David |

Help
I finally bought a key lock for the steering wheel for the 275 in hoping that it would deter thief's. I think its working well however that thing takes forever to put on a old steering wheel which is much larger in diameter.
BUT While fixing the lock, my key of the lock fell into the gate of the gear shift. Is that very bad for the car? Can I still go out and drive it? Many thanks for your help, Edmond |

Unscrew the two Phillips screws on the gate. Lift the gate up and out. Retrieve your key.

That's what I did when the Countessa dropped her Diamond earring down mine.
