Thanks for sharing your pictures Marcel.

Saw Mr. Wang's GTO today at the Tour de France technical checks. As well as a good dozen 275s and handful of 250 SWBs. I'll try and take pix tomorrow morning when the race starts.

Wow, what a great event this was. Marcel is rightfully proud of all the successful Ferraris entered, but many of the non F-cars were equally impressive. Where else can we find a Ferrari 250 GTO in the same class as a BMW 3.0 CSL (no offense to the GTO of course). In between enjoying ourselves the last few days we shot the odd car as well.

Our findings and 200 shot-slideshow, which includes at least one shot of every car in the concours can be found here:

Same revochromic system as used on the 575 Superamericas, one can vary different types of shades/lightness.

and still he found time to do other things, like bringing the McCoy 400SA to Villa Erba on Sunday, and not to mention (or to show) other daring actions he did to make those pictures.....

The car is NOT white. It is beige with a grey roof. Original color scheme. Blue leather interior. Has been in Switzerland from new, August 1952 until 2004. Forty years with same Swiss owner (1964-2004). S/N is 0221 EL. Correct original motor, matching numbers. Current owner and entrant at Villa d'Este yesterday is Michael Stollfuss of Bonn, Germany.
Here are a few photos I took in the last five days at Villa d'Este.

    Marcel,

Thank you for the photos of the 212.

This is the first time I see this car. This little car is so incredibly beautiful, so magnificent to me. The color balance is breathtaking.

Here is front and back of the ORIGINAL certificate of origin issued and signed by Commendatore Enzo Ferrari himself for 0221 EL on 18 August 1952. The car won 1st place at the Concours d'Elegance of Stresa, Italy, on 14 September 1952, when it was brand new. See photo of plaque.

Now I understand my sudden infatuation with this car. I’ll bet the judges (in 1952) felt the same way as I did today when I laid eyes on your photos.
