Just for fun, pick out and list your dream garage of 4 competition Ferraris. Here are the 'rules' of the contest, derived from Marcel's post above; 1. Choose a competition car that falls under the Fchat heading of Vintage. 2. List by specific chassis number, not just model. 3. You can pick a road model if the c/n in question was raced or rallied in period. 4. You can pick a show car or road body if it is on a comp chassis. 5. No GTOs. 6. No TRs (or TRCs). 7. No Cal Spiders.
Great choices, John. I'm in agreement with you on all 4- so much so that I asked after 0460 and 0472 when meeting their respective owners 20 years ago. You nailed it.
375 Plus #0396AM, 860 Monza #0602, 250TR59 #0772/0774 & 250P #0816. Hell would also like 166MM #0008, 375MM #0320, 330P4 #0860 and more
#0870 - #0684 - #0792 - #0858 CanAm. But I want many more... Also Maserati, Bugatti... And I want also the money to buy them... Image Unavailable, Please Login
0856 P4 is the best sportscar ever 0684 last MM winner, brutal spider 6885 the best of all berlinettas 5893 last LM winner with Jochen Rindt, the "austrian choice"
5893 has been badly damaged more than once, even rolled and flipped and extensively modified. I agree with 06885 (perhaps we are allowed to select 5 instead of just 4 comp Ferraris?). Marcel Massini
These are sublime choices in the spirit of Marcel's original post. Is there perhaps another Fantuzzi bodied car in the range of 0784-0806 that would meet your requirements in lieu of 0792? (a wonderful car along with its sister 0794 but, alas, a TR). Merci Monsieur Giotto.
No 250TR, but #0792 is a TR61... So, why not #0784, a fantastic little Dino: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h4eJW6oUVHY
Yes - but it is still the last Ferrari LM Winner and Jochen as the driver makes it a very personal choice. i met Jochen Rindt in the sixties, when i was a little boy and he gave me an autograph, that i am keeping as a little treasure. And i still remember the day when my mother told me, that he had died at Monza, while i was playing with friends.
Ok will substitute my Testa Rossa and play by the rules, 250 Tour de France #0557, 375 Plus #0396AM, 860 Monza #0602 & 250P #0816 Does this limit the number of Alfa, Bugatti, Ferrari Grand Prix & GT (love the 410SA), Maserati & Porsche & so on? Could give you a list of 100 cars
These are my four: Pics found on the www. Copyright on pics. Paul Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I could pick up more than 100, but the must-have cars are (with no TR´s): -0684 or 0674 (i don´t care which one) -6885 -0588 -0856 Of course, if i could pick up a TR, i think 0792 is just below 0684 or 0674. A car that really make me feel something. If we go to Maserati, my personal choise is the 300 S, short nose, 3053 that owns a fchatter. Such an amazing and beautiful car. Best, N.
PD. It´s very hard not to choose 0398AM, 2735GT (even with all the crashes, rebodies and bla bla), 0216ED (i really love that car with Argentinian history), 0358AM (also amazing with Argentinian History), 0286AM (probably one of the best Ferrari´s ever), 0412AM, 0472AM or 0460AM (never seen a fresh photograph of this last two cars). Anyway.. VERY hard to choose only 4.
