Will these fit to the rears on a 365 GTC/4 as on a GTB/4 ? Are wheel wells deep/wide enough & if so, how does it look on a C/4? I like the look of the 9" rears on a Daytona, not too sure on a C/4? Pics and/or thoughts? Thanks, Jack
Yes, no issues at all but my car had the load levellers replaced with coil over shocks which may have helped with clearance Image Unavailable, Please Login
Thanks Greg.....able to send ([email protected]) or post more pics of car including front/rears in same frame? I like it, regards. Jack
Hi, I sold the car a few years back, I think the originals look good too but the 9" give it a much more aggressive stance Image Unavailable, Please Login
Awesome I'm about to pull the trigger on some but I was told no 255/60/15 tires are available. Coker has none, only GF Goodrich T/A Radials. Any ideas? Great looking GTC4!
Longstone Tyres get these Pirelli size tyres for the Miura SV. See here: http://www.longstonetyres.co.uk/page/255-60wr15-pirelli-cinturato-cn12.html
I don't know but don't use the BF Goodrich T/A tyres. As far as I know they are not speed rated to anywhere near the performance of a 365 GTC/4 or any Ferrari.
You can fit Michelin XWX to these wheels. 512 Carb Boxers used these 9" wide wheels and used the Michelins in the above size. See here: 225/70 X 15 | Longstone Tyres
I had 7.5" and 9.0" Cromodoras on a 365 Boxer and used 15" Avon street legal tires from Roger Kraus Racing in California (Roger Kraus Racing Ent., Inc.- Castro Valley, CA.). The attached .pdf shows available sizes. The photo was taken with a telephone lens and distorts the perspective somewhat. Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
I have 8s and 9s for my Daytona and use 225/XWX which I buy from coker, they look good to my eye. Malcolm
Avon makes a great tire for Daytona, on the rear 9", CR6ZZ, I believe they are 275/55R15 Was told they scrape the inner fender slightly for a few hundred miles or so, but afterwards, the are absolutely great. They last about 7K Miles, or the usual few odd years. Fronts, 225/60R15. Call Roger Kraus Racing in California. Regards, Alberto
for all the replies.....now who has two 9"'s rims to sell me? Hawkeye had a full set 2 7.5's with 2 9's couple yrs ago. I am gonna do it...ha! baby has three pair of shoes; standard chromos; Borrani's & soon the 9's. best, Jack
Blimey. I don't know how anyone has got that idea, I can't be doing my job properly. these tyres are e marked and DOT marked. Of course you can buy them in the US from Lucas Classic Tires 255/60VR15 Pirelli Cinturato CN12 or ring -- 1(800)952-4333 And we ship all over the world. you can just buy them here it rarely takes a week no matter where you are https://www.borrani.com/pirelli-tyres/cinturato-cn12/255-60wr15-pirelli-cinturato.html we also have a front Pirelli Tyre 215/70WR15 PIRELLI CINTURATO CN12 | Longstone Tyres and shipping is usually free on Pirelli Cinturato and Classic Michelin such as the XWX https://www.borrani.com/michelin-tyres.html
Thanks for the response. I did email your company, and I received a reply, but by them I had found Kraus Racing in CA who carriers Avon. They shipped them out and they should be in any day now. We currently have 255/60/15 on the rear Borranis, but could only get 245/60/15 in what are closer to period Avons for the original cromodoras that we have purchased. The front cromodoras are 7.5. and we ordered 225/60/15. Although gold cromodoras are not original to this car, what the heck. It is after all being held at Daytona International Raceway. Side note-Why the FCA did not feature the Daytona is still beyond me. This of course wold be in addition to the Ferrari 1-2-3 finish. Thanks for your reply, and I am sure we will order original Tyers from you as we have the 7.5s as well. What is the shelf life in climate a climate stored garage? What came on Daytonas in 71? Both Michelin or Perelli?
I think 10 years would be fine as long as there are no cracks, but your insurance company may say otherwise. Dougal's tyres are usually just a few months old. Michelin XWX
Thanks for the answer. As for the wheels Our man Warren is working on them now. Just came in. This guys good and we are lucky to have him in our small town. Was shocked to see a 250 GTO there a while back. Total bare metal job. So these wheels should be a snap! Never did find a color code for the gold but he will figure it out.
