Is this the real McCoy for a Ferrari, where is it installed, and on which model? Thank you. Regards, Alberto Image Unavailable, Please Login Image Unavailable, Please Login
That is the real McCoy. Very rare and hard to find, especially if it works. Used on some 246gt/gts and Daytona, probably used on other models as well.
Looks like someone has repaired that one as the bottom section should be riveted together. I have several NOS units but the problem is the pump mechanism which is a rubber tube with rollers that push the windshield washer fluid. Over time the rollers have set in one position and squished the rubber tube flat. The rubber tube looks like surgical tubing to me and would be easy to replace if you drill out the rivets and replace it.
The one I have, has different length spouts, and i did replace the plastic tubing with chain saw fuel line, surprised at the power. It is peculiar design, yet very clever. After a Da Vinci invention Regards, Alberto
Fiat used these in early 70's on 124, 850, Dino etc. I have bought several NOS units off eBay.it, regrettably the plastic tube inside was rock hard. Replacing the tube is easier said than done!
