1.1 No "Flaming": Please do not post any messages that harass, insult, belittle, threaten or flame another user.
This might be the #1 problem for our community and the reason threads often go downhill. It helps to keep in mind that posts are one dimensional and it is too easy to miscommunicate. Not only are there language barriers, but it is hard to perfectly communicate with just words. The reader may misinterpret. Flaming begins and the thread slowly escalates to often ugly levels. Most of us have experienced it firsthand falling into the trap as everyone tries to get the last word in and the goal becomes trying to personally attack someone often forgetting the topic all together. The best perspective is to keep in mind that there may be miscommunication. If something needs to be personally discussed one on one, then please do that by Private Message or Email "offline". If you wouldn't say something to a user in person, why would you say it by post.
