I'm in the market for stock size wheels for the 328, but I don't want to pay more than $1,000. Maybe I'm dreaming. I had a deal with Norwoods for a BBS set for $800, but they kinda backed out of that one for one reason or another. |

Heres an update on these rims. After finally getting the stubborn wheel bolts off, I was able to identify the rims. Theyre 1987 Hayashi Racing (now known as HRE) modulars (7" F, 8" R), model 505 (no longer manufactured). I spoke with HRE and they do still provide lug covers, screws, and caps with the HRE logo. Im looking in the neighborhood of $2,000 for the rims/tires. You can see pictures of the rims in the Showroom section of this site under 1986 328 GTB. |

Craig -- Thanks for the hub information. I'm wondering now if it wasn't something to do with clearance for the grease cap. |

Although I didn't see it on my trip, there is a 308 GT4 in England that does hill climbs and that car is fitted with pre-ABS 328 wheels. |

Steve... my 86 328 (non-ABS) has hub pilot dia. of 67mm as close as I can measure without a micrometer. I checked only the front wheel. |

Leonardo/Arie/Rob -- I have a (very) vague recollection of someone mentioning a difference in the hub pilot diameters for 328 non-abs wheels vs 308 wheels (i.e. the bolt circle and offsets are similar, but a 328 non-abs wheel needs to have the hub bore opened up a bit to fit onto a 308 -- not too difficult, but still a necessary modification to consider). Could I trouble you (or another 328 non-abs owner) to measure their hub size (when convenient) to confirm/deny this. I believe the 308 hub diameter is 67 mm -- but I wouldn't mind someone who actually has a 308 confirming this too. |

Im in Teaneck, NJ, about 15 minutes from NYC. Im pretty sure they would fit a 79 308. Theyre 16" rims, and come with the original 328 wheel bolts, which were cut down 1/2" to fit with these rims. Ill have to double check the tire sizes, but I think theyre 205 55 in the front and 225 55 in the rear. |

WOULD THEY FIT A 79 308? |

I just purchased an 86 328 GTB that has aftermarket rims (I cant tell what kind but Im pretty sure theyre three-piece) with Comp T/As. the rims have the Ferrari hub crest. The tires have 4500k miles on them and were purchased in October of 97. I want to put the stock rims with Goodyears back on the car, so if anyone is interested in a second set of rims/tires, let me know. |
