Yep, same car. The kink from the hood strut doesnt bother me. I bought the car to drive, not show. I personally have put 3000 recreational miles on it in six months. As for the higher mileage, no problem. It came with all the history. I dynoed the car and it put down 191hp and 159 ft.lbs to the rear wheels on a Dynojet. Considering a 18-20% loss through the driveline, those are factory claimed numbers. Not bad for a 17 yr.old car. Also, do you really think that all those other '80-'85 have under 40k? If they don't have full documentation, I wouldn't believe it. I passed on 2 that couldn't prove the low mileage.
I wanted to keep the car for a few years but with a third family member arriving in Feb., I will need a 2+2 sports car.

1) The filter is a Baldwin.

2) The rub strips were there when I purchased the car. They are solid rubber that is glued in, looks like you could find soomething similar at Home Depot or some sort of industrial supply place. There are a few nicks in them, so I guess they have done their job.

3)The PO had the cam covers done. When he bought the car he had an engine out service at which time he replaced belts, pump and all old hoses. It appears he had the covers wrinkled black and then polished(sanded) the excess off the letters and numbers.

I posted earlier that due to expected child I will need to get into a 2+2 sports car in the future. Looking to sell my '84 308 GTS unless someone wants to trade for a Mondial. The car runs great, all records since new, just dynoed. Priced @$30,000. Pics and details available on request. This is not a concours car, but a tight, clean, great looking, solid car that can be driven daily. Mileage is in high 70's and increasing daily.
