Another up-date!!! I've listed these wheels and tires on EBAY as of today and I lowered the price to $750 (my wife says "get 'em out of the garage!") BONUS!!!! TO ALL FERRARI CHAT MEMBERS - I will split the cost of shipping with you! Check out the pictures on Ebay at http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=596878289 Thanks, Stu |

And just a point of reference on this, the TRX is NOT the only tires to fit the 390s. Avon also makes a 390 size tire. So you do have some choices. 390mm is closer to 15". IMHO, $1,000 is a fair price for a set w/o lug nuts and caps. The 16" are of course nicer but going for almost twice that. |

stu - go for it! The 16" wheels will enhance road holding significantly! Especially when you have a much greater choice of tires with these standard sizes. Do remember that your speeddometer may need adjustment! Also consider keeping the original 390mm just in case you wish to sell the car later to someone who minds! |

Thanks Speeddemon & Steve - very helpful information. To clarify, if someone feels that $1,000 for the four wheels, tires, valve stems, lug bolts AND center caps is a good buy then... step right up! I'm a lookin' to sell! |

Speeddemon, when I was at Superformance recently, I had a chance to see those wheels in-the-flesh... very well made. Beautiful finish, no flaws. |

stu -- pardon the interruption, but IMHO those Aluminum 16 308 reproductions are a very good value at the $1,500~$1,800 prices that seem to be floating around -- (like the OEM 16 Magnesium wheels) they have the potential to actually add value to the car (relative to having a set of 390s). Id agree with Speeddemon that virtually any other brand/style of 16 aftermarket wheels -- regardless of the initial cost -- is, at best, a wash value-wise compared to 390s. You might want to clarify, both on your SELL and your BUY, if the lug bolts, valve stems, and/or center caps are, or are not, included. For example, I think your asking price of $1K for a 4-wheel 390 set with the valve stems, but not the lug-bolts, nor the center caps is about right. Im fairly certain that the 308 390mm wheels will fit all of the 308s from 73 to 85 (not Mondial) -- 67 mm hub diameter, 5 x 108 mm bolt circle, ~+11mm offset both front and rear. |

As far as I am aware the wheels for 308s will fit most/all 308 models and years (not sure about the GT4). With regards to quality, I am sure production techniques have improved enough such that the quality of the aftermarket wheels should be fine. Just bear in mind that some buyers can be quite touchy with regards to originality and the aftermarket wheels might cause the car to have a lower resale value! It certainly does not bother me! |

Low- Thanks for that info. Tell me, in your opinion, what are the negatives to buying these reproduction wheels? Is it a quality issue? Also, do you know if my current wheels will fit a 78 - 79 gts? Thanks again. |

390mm about 15.5". If u are looking at 16" rims, remember that those available on ebay and others are mainly reproductions unless otherwise stated. The OEM are Magnesium and these after market are alumimun. Also try superformance, they have the same aftermarket ones for about 900pounds. |

Hey guys, The wheels are original Euro metric sized - not a 14" or 15" but somewhere in between. Maybe someone could convert the size for me, but I've been told it's around 141/2". The tires are a bit difficult to find as Michelin is the only one who makes the size, but they are available. I'm planning on replacing them with 16" - like the ones offered through Ferrari Parts Exchange. |

Hey Stu, what are you replacing the wheels with? I have a 84 QV, was wondering what would look good on the car. |

I'm replacing the original wheels on my 1985 Euro 308 QV. They are the 220/55 R 390's with Michelin TRX tires. (see my profile for picture) The wheels are in good condition - I'd say a 7 1/2 out of 10 - and the tires have around 70% tread left. Asking $1,00 for the set of four wheels and tires. Please email me if interested. |
