Arman, I have to agree with you. Everyone thinks that the dealers have to give things away. Do they charge a premium for their services? Yes we all know they do but keep in mind that they have paid or are paying good loyalty money for their franchises as well.

FWIW I have had my car serviced at Ferrari of Long Island for the past 3 years and have been very satisfied with them. It is a family atmosphere and everyone is extremely friendly. They are pretty expensive but then again they are in business to make money like everyone else and no one forces you to go to them.

Good think you ferrari salesman arent real estate agents. Imagine listing a home and not listing the price!

Realtors have no problems listing their home prices 2 to 3 times as much as your car. And they don't need a "personal relationship"!

Get with the program. You're salesman, so list the sales price!

I like to see prices too, especially if I'm in the market. But if I see a car I'm interested in, I have no problem firing off an email. If they get back to me with a price I like, I'll contact them in person. If not, I move on. You'd be amazed how many dealers didn't even respond to me when I was shopping a few months ago. It makes me wonder how they stay in business.

I like to see prices as well, but in truth and fact after the service discussion Ferrari of Long Island and Ferrari of New England are out of the question to begin with.

Just like the dealer I bought from in Miami "Prestige Imports". These guys are thieves as well. Promises, promises! It is such bad policy to piss off a customer when you are in this kind of business and market segment.

500 users on FerrariChat talk to 4 more people each. I assume 20,000 Ferrari owners in the US and you have 10% of your market destroyed in order to save $100 in fluids and one hour labor before you send a car on the road!

SOMEBODY PLEASE EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!

steven - i had started reading your post and thought - ferrari NE / LI might not be as bad as the previous post i have read on their customer service skills -- then i read the rest of your post on why you dont want to see prices and relized that you are a psycho.
Michael - i also like to see prices, that getting to know you is salesman crap

Steven,

I haven't heard something as absurd as "people buying Ferraris for less than they are worth". Competition is the name of the game and Ferrari better get in the game if it wants to increase its exotic car's market share(or whatever market they want to be in). Nobody buys a Ferrari for less than is worth!, People buy Ferraris, or any car for that matter, for a fair market value and sometimes for more than they are worth, specially from a DEALER! Those that buy overprice and want to hold back the market by playing sales tricks and holding back information deserve what they get. I personally bought a TR not long ago, and from what I saw, drove, and inspected, I got a fairly priced car ($10K TO $15k less than dealers ask for a car in similar conditions). If six months from now it turns out that I was wrong, so be it. My fault, nobody elses! If you do not want to loose, you better not be part of the game. I wander if those people that are afraid to see their car prices drop, are also the same ones that rarely drive them (perhaps for the same reason).

I agree with ChristianK, those dealers that do not post pricing information are always last on my list to call, because I cannot afford to be calling every dealer that list a car of interest to me. I target those dealers that save me time (more time = more money!!!) first. Although, personally, the information from dealers only served me to determine what the high end price was. I drove cars in much better conditions from private owners than from any dealer I visited or got information upon.

My two cents.

Michael:
Tell your boss to relax. Who told him about the Ferrari of New England discussion in the first place. Did you do that? And that's why a ferrarichat member received a letter from your lawyer????
Just curious.

Everyone Relax!! I am a huge Ferrari fan and I am lucky enough to work for Ferrari. When I post cars and events it is to bring the Ferrari community together, not apart. I am very sorry that Christian has a problem with us but what are you going to do. When we get a new car in I am always very pumped about it. (Its just not a product to me) If you are not in the market just check it out because it's a nice Ferrari. Before I worked for Ferrari I would always search the net for great Ferrari pics. So just enjoy.
Michael
Christian, Just took a look at your pic. GREAT CAR!!!

Christian,
After reading your post I thought I would ad my 2 cents in. I have been doing business with FLI and FNE for a while now and I just have to say I have never met a more professional outfit then this. They have always gone above and beyond for me and I cant say enough Great things about them. A very Family type atmosphere.
As far as online pricing goesWe the Ferrari owners do not want.. And I repeat Do Not want dealers to start posting prices online. Remember we all love our Ferraris but they are a product. Dealers will always make money, thats why they are in business. But by starting a price war on the Internet is not a good idea. Dealers will always check out other dealers web sites and if Dealer (A) has a 355 for $140k dealer (B) will post there 355 for $135k. and so on. In the long run the only person that losses is the guy who purchased his 355 for $140k 6 months ago. Soon you have Ferraris that will be selling for way less then worth. How hard is it to call a dealer and get a price. It is in your best interest to get to know them. Dont be so fast to want the quick fix.It will only hurt us all.
Take Care,
Steven Vai

P.S After reading your post it seems that you have some issues..Issues that may lead you into an alternative lifestyle.Good Luck with all that!

Why do you have to get familiar with me to give me a price and I have to get familiar with you - are you gay? That's sales people bla bla. Not very serious.

Rob, I don't understand why those people are allowed to post their inventory updates. They are no sponsor!

Christian,
We don't post price's on the internet because we would like everyone to call or e-mail us so we can become more familiar with the customer and so that everyone can become more familiar with us. We are always glad to hear from everyone so please don't hesitate to contact us. I am always on-line, I check my e-mail about a million times a day (Well About that). I am also on Microsoft Instant Messenger ([email protected]). I don't use this for e-mail but you will be able to contact me live. I just posted 2 more cars on the site.
1. 1995 355 Spider
2. 2000 360 Modena
Check them out and If anyone has any question Please feel free to contact me.
Thanks Again,

It would be helpful if you would post prices on your web page. I don't know how the other guys are but if I don't see a price right away I don't even consider that seller.
